Anyone with more than a passing interest in interior design on social media is likely already familiar with Colin King’s styling oeuvre. Part of that success comes from his ability to imbue spaces with difficult-to-pinpoint dynamism—even when working in his preferred muted palette. This talent has led him to regularly contribute to publications such as @archdigest and @tmagazine and collaborate with brands ranging from @westelm to @rwguild. It’s only natural, then, that he’s just launched his new collection with @beni_rugs. Herewith, King shares his favorite items for both home and body.

I’m bored, LET’S DO A BEFORE AND AFTER! Swipe for the before pic of @guskenworthy’s sexy bedroom designed by @backup_design and ME. Sometimes a space that doesn’t get a lot of natural light wants to be painted in a luscious dark tone. BLACK IS THE NEW BLACK. Goodbye Ladies. A work in progress. A primary bedroom in a San Francisco mid-century high rise. _______________________________________________with no available overhead lighting, we’ve recessed ambient cove lighting into a ledge behind the bed.
May this be a restful respite from the busy city below.
