Dear Mom,

Three years ago, at 47, you made a decision to follow a dream you had tucked away for so long—to earn your degree in political science. Now, at 50, you’ve achieved that dream,I hope you know just how proud I am of you.

It hasn’t been an easy road. For 27 years, you dedicated yourself to our family, putting your own aspirations on hold to be the amazing mother you are. When life took you in the direction of early marriage and motherhood, you embraced it all with love, sacrificing pieces of yourself for our happiness. But even when you had to set aside your own dreams, I know they never disappeared; you kept them alive in your heart, patiently waiting for the right moment to reclaim them.

You’ve shown me that persistence isn’t just about the end goal—it’s about the journey, the determination to keep moving forward even when things get tough. Your grit, your unwavering belief in yourself, and your refusal to give up on what you wanted have taught me so much about resilience.

You’ve faced challenges head-on, turning obstacles into opportunities. You have shown me that it’s never too late to pursue your passions and that life is a series of chances to learn, grow, and fight for what matters most. When I think about the way you’ve approached your education, I can’t help but feel inspired. You remind me every day that dreams don’t have an expiration date.

As I look at my own achievements, I can’t help but feel grateful for you. You are the reason I believe in myself, and that’s something I will carry with me always. You didn’t just bring me into this world; you taught me to live boldly, to chase after my dreams,to never back down from a challenge, and most importantly to believe in God.

Thank you, Mom, for everything you’ve done and continue to do for us. For being my cheerleader, my mentor, and my rock. I’m so lucky to have you in my life. I can’t wait to see what you do next.

I love you more than words can express and I am endlessly proud of you. You are proof that no matter where we start we can always choose to write our own stories. Here’s to you, Mom, and to all the amazing chapters still to come.
