A year ago i spent my shift telling my manager how in a months time i was going to need some time off as things weren't so good and i was a little worried about it.
I'd known for months of having health check ups that things were going down hill fast but i cared more about making sure i wasn't inconveniencing others wether it was leaving the store short or just asking my mum to sit in a&e with me than i did about knowing i couldn't carry on much longer the way i was going.
Towards the end of the shift i realised something wasn't okay and i took myself to the closest hospital just to think it would be a check again but i was told there and then that i no longer had a choice wether i could leave or not because of the way my heart was.
I cried that night not because of being worried but because i felt guilty i hadn't done the amount of exercise i felt i should in a day to warrant me being able to rest.

Anorexia is so misunderstood, it has the highest death rate of any mental illness for a reason and its not spoken enough about the fact most of those deaths don't come from the state someones body is in but actually from suicide because of how mentally draining it is.
-
The last few months have really shown me just how hard i worked on everything and looking through my full camera roll full of the loveliest memories from this past year and the amount of people on it that now mean the world to me, The food that i now can eat again (with guilt and anxiety at times which i know will pass the longer i keep going!!) & The big life events of not just me but also my loved ones!
-
Those first 6 months honestly felt never ending and i was exhausted from going against the bad thoughts everyday but the more i pushed back and the more i challenged myself they got louder until one day going on lunch at work and eating started to feel normal & having popcorn at the cinema felt more normal than not having snacks with a movie did🤍
-
Reach out for help & talk more about the thoughts you're having with loved ones as its the only way they'll understand and be able to support!

it only changes if you work on changing it and continue to do so🤍

Everything happens for a reason.

#sᴛᴏʀʏᴛɪᴍᴇ Last year, we regretfully had to postpone our "Episode 3: The Halloween Edition" due to unforeseen circumstances. We were genuinely disheartened, as all preparations had been completed, and we were really excited about celebrating our first Halloween event with everyone. We had decorations prepared, a curated playlist to complement the Halloween theme, and all other arrangements in place, only for these unforeseen circumstances to arise.. However, everything unfolds for a greater purpose, and I guess the number three truly holds a magical trait, as during this period of behind-the-scenes preparations, we not only established connections with new contacts but also had the privilege of collaborating with venue hosts who are graciously providing us with wonderful opportunities to organize our own events on weekends. As many event organizers can appreciate, securing an excellent venue in a strategic location (in London, no less) for weekend events without breaking the bank is indeed a rare find. Therefore, from the postponement of a much-anticipated episode to not allowing a disheartening situation to discourage us, but instead inspiring us to innovate and enhance, leading to this beautiful outcome, is truly amazing and a hidden blessing. We'd also like to extend our gratitude to everyone involved, including the ArtistAvenue Team, the venue host @supercutebrewhouse, and the artists who participate, enjoy, and believe in our endeavors. Their support is the fundamental reason our events are flourishing and expanding with each episode.🥹🌐
