Hyrox NYC 🗽 • 2 weekends, 3 races, TONS of spectating

Finally got a flag in what I think is one of the most competitive cities out there (thanks for the pic @bubblestheclowne). The bar keeps getting raised, and as a competitor you gotta keep stepping up if you want to stay near the top.

•My favorite part of both weekends were watching everyone I help get there cross that finish line with joy. It could’ve been your first race, a PR, or surviving the heat, you did it, you did your damn thing. You all made me proud too!

•Weekend 1, Day 2: Open Solo PR - 1:03:39
Finishing number 2 overall in the day was pretty cool. Definitely not the timeI think the best part was having @bigtomgimler keep calling out your name. Going back and forth with the guy next to me @andreypompa during the last 2 stations was fun. Didn’t really talk abt it, but barrier to leave sled push blocked a few of us from leaving the station to get into roxzone and held us back.

•Weekend 2, Day 8: No PR’s 😭
Doubles in extreme heat 🥵 , relay pretty much at midnight🫠. 40k steps, long ass day. Races didn’t go as planned, but we did our very best. NYC relay was def not the course to PR. Not every race is a PR, but every race is an opportunity to learn 🫡

On to the next 📈😤

I learned a lot from this weekend.

Races won’t always go the way you envision, but that doesn’t take away from the work you put in to get there. The result is only a small part of the experience. The lessons learned through the preparation are what makes each experience unique and the people you share it with are what make it meaningful.

God gave me an able body, and I never want to take that for granted. The ability to move is a blessing, and the opportunity to compete is a gift.

Win or lose, good day or bad, all glory belongs to Him. ✝️

Some things change. Some things stay in your blood.

Back on the field for the Hofstra University lacrosse alumni game.

Great seeing old teammates, sharing laughs, competing again, and meeting the next generation carrying it forward.

Years pass. Brotherhood doesn’t.

The game gave us memories. We give it legacy.

As always, play for Joe 🫡🥍

The year I started racing, got stronger and faster!

I made the transition to @ogtrainingacademy back in February and it was hands down the best decision I’ve ever made!!

Surrounded by so many like minded people with so much hunger to get better every single day.

This year I did my first Hyrox (1:23), ran my first half marathon (1:32), as well as my first full marathon (3:30) setting some amazing PRs that made me the proudest and wanting to keep going for more.

I’ve never been stronger nor as consistent at the gym and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

Cheers to all the great people and amazing friends I’ve made along the way 🫶🏼 thank you for pushing me to be the best version of myself!
