première semaine ! 💌

i’ve mostly been doing logistical tasks, like learning how to cook, getting a phone plan, setting up bank account, etc… but also making sure to do at least 1 social activity per day with friends!

rock en seine concert was awesome, the museums are even more beautiful than i remembered, and i joined a bunch of clubs (including art night, language exchange, running along the seine, and brazilian samba) in my attempt to be an adult 😝

@benjaminpla_ embodied the traits that make Summer Clerks successful at FJI: patience and poise. He was inquisitive during his time here, and that skill is necessary for developing a strong professional toolkit.

Thank you for all your contributions this summer, and best of luck as you start your graduate program at the Paris School of International Affairs.

Individual expression is fundamental to civil liberties and, by extension, art and artists are bastions of free societies. That's part of the reason @fji.law's summer clerks toured @pamm as they wrapped up their service with FJI.

The team explored exhibits that illuminated why using platforms to counteract government oppression matters. Thanks to @kadia.nisha, @kourtsam, & @benjaminpla_ for their contributions this summer!

The strongest teams have clearly-defined roles, but times of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity can make it difficult to determine how the pieces fit into the puzzle. Even though the law is in black-and-white, legal professionals often must work through abstract concepts and apply them to the facts.

Yesterday, @fji.law staff and summer clerks demonstrated that with practical team-building exercises focused on past, present, and future. Thanks to @theescapegame Miami team for helping us execute that mission.
