If you do one thing today, let it be researching Sepsis, its symptoms and how life threatening it really is.

When you hear the word Sepsis, remember Benji, Sepsis took his life. Don't let it take yours or someone you love.

Year One ✨🌛

Our Benji should be starting his 2nd year of school today, year one.

He should have been holding hands with his big sister as we walked to school. We should have seen him turn around and wave as he walked into school.

Instead, this is our reality, a doorstep photo without a child, a framed photo instead.

September is Sepsis awareness month 🧡

A child may have sepsis if they:

Are breathing very fast
Have a ‘fit’ or convulsion
Look mottled, bluish, or pale — on brown and black skin, colour changes may show on the inside of the forearms or palms
Have a rash that does not fade when you press it
Are very lethargic or difficult to wake
Feel abnormally cold to touch
Call 111 or contact your GP if you are worried about an infection.

Call 999 or visit A&E if a child has one of the sepsis symptoms and Just Ask: Could it be Sepsis?

If you suspect your child has sepsis or they have any of these symptoms, push for tests and answers.

I am hosting a charity fundraiser on Friday 30th October 4-8pm, and am looking for a face painter, bouncy castle (maximum height 11ft) DJ, cupcake maker and any other type of children's entertainment.

We are also after raffle prizes if anyone would like to donate one.

We are raising funds for a memorial bench & planter for the garden at Southampton General Hospital.

We are doing this in memory of our sun Benji, who died at 18 months old in December 2022 of Sepsis

Due to this being a fundraiser we are asking people to donate their time & services, and use this event as free advertisement to hand out business cards etc.

Five Today 🩵🌛

Today our beautiful Benji Boy is turning 5
5 years ago we welcomed the most perfect boy into the world, our son.
Little did we know we wouldn't only get to spend 18 months with him by our side.

We should have had 5 beautiful years with you now, you should have nearly finished your first year at big school, been in your first nativity and getting ready for your first sports day

I miss you so much that I can't even put it into words, the love I have for you grows more each day, even when that doesn't seem possible. You are a missing piece of me.

Everyday is day closer to seeing your beautiful face, stroking your soft hair and kissing you on your head again

The days, the years, they don't get easier, they don't become more bearable

Today is all about you, our beautiful Benji
The boy who is the light in everyone's lives who knew him, the reason behind everything we do. Our son who is and will always be apart of our everyday.

This Sunday is our yearly Sepsis Savvy Walk, another year trying to raise as much money as possible for a much needed charity & research. Please share & donate if you can ❤️

In honour of our son, Benji, who passed away on 20th December 2022 at 18 months old due to Sepsis, we are organising and taking part in a Sepsis Savvy Walk.

We have decided the walk will take place on Sunday 12th April at Riverside Park. We will be starting the walk at 11.30am, and it will be approximately 5k long. We will be starting and finishing at The White Swan, Mansbridge.
