Yesterday, The Oklahoma State Cowboys’ made a special trip to the hospital to visit their heavyweight, Benjamin Mower. The Cowboy family continues to stand behind Benji as the senior fights’ an incredibly difficult battle against cancer.

What a privilege to be a small part of such Big Deal. @cowboywrestling & @okstatehockey came together to have a Benefit Tailgate in support of @benjimower and his family. Benji is an OSU Wrestler and Fighter of Cancer!! So many people came together for this tailgate and @bigballsbbq invited us out to help be a part of it. The wrestling world received heartbreaking news yesterday regarding Oklahoma State’s Heavyweight Benjamin Mower. According to The “Stillyboys” Instagram Page, Benji is currently fighting an incredibly difficult battle against cancer, where doctors’ located a tumor the size of one’s first next to the Senior’s Kidney. Despite already having surgery and receiving ongoing chemotherapy, the Cowboy requires another extensive procedure to remove the mass, and has already dealt with various complications which have led to multiple hospital visits. Despite this ongoing battle, Benji continues to show up to wrestling practice, be there for teammates, and most importantly be there for his family, as the heavyweight is newly married and recently become a Father in June.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys’ have shared a GoFund Me Page for Benji, where all the raised money will go towards Mowers’ medical treatments, lodging stays, and support for the kid and his new family. We have put the link in our Bio as well.

Benji is facing an incredibly difficult fight against cancer, but his attitude and strength through it all have been nothing short of inspiring. Through everything he is facing, he continues to show up, fight, and be there for his teammates while also starting a new chapter of life with his wife and new baby.
