Last night’s show marked the end of my residency on Rrrriiiinseee FM, 3 years and 40 shows laterrr 🐇

Can’t believe it’s been 5 yrs since my first guest mix on the station in 2021… so so grateful to have been able to contribute so many hours of music and often nonsensical, stumbling microphone moments.

Thank you for having me, allowing me to grow into my sound and for offering the space to share so much of my favourite music and invite all the cute guests and friends I had jump on with me over the years 🤍

Onto new pastures greeen. Bye for now world of radio - back in a jiffy x x

space•cast 030 - Benk0

A special edition of the space•cast from an underground hero in London, Benk0. Booker and resident of one of London’s most vital and beloved clubs, MOT UNIT 18 / 20.

These clubs are the lifeblood of this thing we all love and it’s thanks to grafters like Trey (Benk0) that they continue to exist, burning the midnight oil weekend-in-weekend-out on a industrial estate near the Millwall football ground.

The balance of programming smaller clubs in London is an impossibly fine one, staying true to your values and booking exciting artists whilst providing a platform for the plethora of amazing up and coming DJs in London. Playing at MOT is almost a rite of passage at this point and it’s Benk0 who fearlessly navigates the ship through some of the choppiest waters in clubland.

So when the opportunity came to host a mix on the series from the man himself came, recorded at the club where he’s spent more nights than he’d care to remember over the last half decade, it was an easy yes. This set was an opening for XDB and you can tell from the classy selections, perfect pacing and smooth mixing that it was performed by someone with a detailed knowledge of the room who has respect and care of the best residents.

the long-awaited back-to-back with @benk0 after three reschedules - it’s finally happened! chatting briefly beforehand about how the netherlands had changed our perception on deep psychedelic sounds, we used that as a jumping off point for this show. bouncing naturally off each other, the show spans through deep swampy & murky waters of deep techno and dark prog with sprinkles of sleazy tech house and minimal rollers, steppers and sexy, groovy techno. the debut of basic benks was a lot of fun.
