there’s something so scary about posting a singing vid. I’ve always felt scared to post me singing online cause I know i’m gonna be hella judged and there’s nothing I can do about it. This is the first time i’ve ever watched a video back of me singing and be like that’s alrighttt. I’m still gonna cricticise it obvs and like while I’m typing this im like oh god I could have sung it better on that bit or like were my thoughts clear enough from a acting point of a view or technically vocally could have been stronger or like why tf do I look like that in some bits nrs. I was gonna be try and be all mysterious with this caption but then I was like I need to grow as a artist and like discomfort and vulnerability is good cause that’s how you grow also a person aswell. I encourage people to do scary things like I can’t believe i’m posting a vid of me singing on the gram. I think that’s what I mean with this caption and like just say yes to everything, that’s how i’m living right now just saying yes to everything cause actually YOLO bro I know it’s cringe but like actually yolo cause what’s the worst that’s gonna happen?

Thank you so much to @raisetheroothprods for this opportunity and the best piano playing ever from @benlevy220 !!

THREAD OF FATE

One thread. Two lives. A destiny waiting to unfold.

Set during the first meeting between Theseus and Ariadne, this pivotal moment captures Ariadne giving Theseus the physical thread that will allow him to navigate the labyrinth, face the Minotaur and find his way back to safety.

But there is a deeper meaning to this exchange.

As Ariadne hands Theseus the thread, they begin weaving another of their own. An invisible connection between two strangers whose lives are about to become intertwined.

The physical thread offers Theseus a way out of the labyrinth, while the metaphorical thread marks the beginning of a relationship shaped by love, trust and fate.

This is where their destinies become entwined.

Featuring Jack Gunn as Theseus and Mia Sullivan as Ariadne, both graduates of the University of Chichester Conservatoire.

Thread of Fate is currently in R&D. These live performances are works in progress, recorded as part of the ongoing development of the musical.

LABYRINTH OF HEARTS

Another glimpse into Thread of Fate as our R&D recordings continue.

Mia Sullivan performs as Ariadne, joined by Pedro Papa D’Amour, the show’s writer and lyricist, stepping into the role of Dionysus.

In Labyrinth of Hearts, Ariadne begins to question the path that has been chosen for her, while Dionysus watches unseen, already drawn to the woman she is becoming.

These performances are live and work in progress, created as part of our R&D process to help us continue developing the music, characters and story.

HERO’S CHOICE

A first glimpse at Jack Gunn as Theseus performing Hero’s Choice from Thread of Fate.

As Theseus stands at a crossroads between destiny and his own free will, Hero’s Choice asks what happens when the hero stops following the path laid out for him and decides to write his own story.

Performed as part of our recent R&D work with the Fates R&D Recording Ensemble, featuring students from the University of Chichester Conservatoire.

A note on our R&D footage: Thread of Fate is currently in research and development. These performances are captured live and represent work in progress, allowing the creative team to explore, test and develop the material as the musical continues to evolve.
