Nothing sexier than a man who handles business and the stroller 😍

A little behind-the-scenes appreciation post because there’s a piece of how I’ve been able to keep growing Glowout while simultaneously running around chasing big ideas that most people never see.

For the last two years, @prettycreativeshane has quietly helped me make the backend of Glowout smarter—systems, automations, AI, workflows and all the very unsexy things that make a business actually run better.

I built Glowout over 19 years, but learning how to build businesses that don’t require all of me, all of the time, has been a completely different chapter. Shane has a way of looking at how something is being done, spotting where we’re wasting time or making things harder than they need to be, and building a better way forward.

And Glowout isn’t the only place I’ve watched him do it. He’s helped a number of my clients untangle messy systems, find bottlenecks and use AI and automation in ways that actually make sense for their businesses.

This trip has probably been the best example of what that work has given me. I’ve been gone for two weeks—traveling, teaching, building relationships, exploring new markets and dreaming up what’s next—while Glowout and my other businesses keep moving at home in the US.

That kind of freedom didn’t happen by accident. A lot of it came from finally building better systems behind the scenes.

If you own a business and feel like you are the system—everything lives in your head, everything needs your hands on it and stepping away feels nearly impossible—this is the man I’d want looking under the hood.

He understands the tech, but more importantly, he understands business and how to use that tech to give an owner back something incredibly valuable: time.

So, meet one of my favorite behind-the-scenes secrets @prettycreativeshane 🤍

And obviously keeping our Head Shop Dog Lady properly chauffeured falls under operations too 🫶🏼🤎🇫🇷🥐🐾
