I am so excited for my friend @benmacellen whose performing their amazing show @transmansplaining at the @vicpridecentre this Wednesday & Thursday.

It’s the story behind the man behind the beard, this one-man stage show is based on the experiences of Ben, a self-described “short, balding, bearded, gay, trans man”, and it draws on his memoir ‘A Cut Closer to Whole’ and eighteen years living as a man.

I’m going to Thursday nights show, so if you’d like to join me, grab yourself a ticket.

Superman and SigFig Ben visited the Midsumma Festival offices ahead of Sunday’s Carnival Day on Sunday. Both were given VIP treatment by the awesome Midsumma staff.

Ben wanted a soy latte but Superman seemed to need to dash off in a hurry. I guess he had had to fly! But, he said he’d be back in time for Wednesday 25th & Thursday 26th January at 9.00pm to see the Melbourne premiere of Transmansplaining at the Victorian Pride Centre.

You don’t have to be a superhero to come along to this acclaimed one-man show. Just buy your tickets at the link in the bio.

Today we travelled from my hometown of Bendigo to Melbourne ahead of next week’s Melbourne premiere of Transmansplaining at Midsumma Festival.

Then we went to the launch of the Victorian Pride Centre’s Program Launch for Midsumma. The VPC is hosting a number of awesome events and performances, including Transmansplaining!

Transmansplaining is part comedy, part drama, with a dash of music, a good sprinkling of advocacy and education and importantly a happy ending!

If you are part of the LGBTIQA+ community, are an ally, work in health or education, or just love to support independent theatre, you’ll love Transmansplaining.

Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th January 2023 at 9.00pm at the Victorian Pride Centre Theatrette, 79/81 Fitzroy St, St Kilda.
