Hockey Offseason Strength Circuit

A lot of guys are at different phases of the offseason. Some have been back for months and others are just getting back. Something that always stays a theme during this time is owning movements and learning how to control your body.

For @ben_moalusi here, we’re on Phase II but you’ll note that we’re still moving relatively slow just no 10s iso holds now. I want him to be able to build strength in those ranges we worked hard to get back in Phase I. It’s still a learning process in the phase though. It’s hard to get to those ranges or know when you’re there but Ben does a great job finding those ranges.

And then it’s always good to sneak in a little mobility in between sets to keep the body loose and maximize our rest periods.

It’s all part of the plan and we’ve got a big offseason ahead of us!

Another Offseason in the books.

This offseason ended a little earlier than normal but it’s always a pleasure to get to work with these guys no matter for how long.

Even with the early mornings these guys always came to work barring a couple alarm issue mishaps from player and maybe the trainer😅.

It’s obviously the highlight of my summer to get to work with them and I can’t thank them enough for allowing me help them along the way. For me, it’s the best way to stay a part of the game.

My advice to the boys before the leave is don’t just be a dog on a bone. Be a wolf and take the whole carcass!I’m excited to see them put to use all their hard work and crush it this year!

Plus, an invite to a cup or natty championship party is always nice 😂

Hockey Lower Body Dynamic Day

Right now we’re in a heavy overload phase for most of the boys having to leave for their seasons in the next month/month and a half.

The goal now for them is to top off everything we’ve built in terms of general strength and apply it more to speed and power.

One of my favorite methods is running some French Contrast style training on these days. Specifically, I got a lot of these ideas from @triphasic_training .

Couple things we have to clean up for Benny here but he’s on the right track to crush it I think!
