Busy few days in NYC. Thursday night at #morrisongallery for #tompetty new remixed/remastered box set and special select photos. Later, that evening to a beautiful private event at #sohograndhotel. Tom’s daughter #adriapetty threw a wonderful night to celebrate her dad. The next night, Friday, back to the city for a special invite only listening party at Sony Dolby Atmos studios to hear select cuts from the box set with Rolling Stone magazine former senior editor #davidfricke and Petty long-time engineer Ryan Ylyate, who did an incredible job bringing these 50+ years recordings to life. This box set is certainly worth it! Thank you to my friends at the label and to Adria and her Dads estate for the honor of celebrating with them. ✌️❤️🎸

Roger McGuinn - ‘Back from Rio’ Absolutely thrilled to find this one @academyrecords recently, partly cause I’m a fan of McGuinn, but also because I’m a Tom Petty completist!! This is the sixth studio album by the co-founder of the Byrds, released back in 1991. The band here is Mike Campbell, Stan Lynch, and Benmont Tench of the Heartbreakers, plus Petty duetting on ‘King of the Hill’! There is a great scene in the documentary on Petty (Runnin’ Down a Dream) where Tom defends McGuinn against his label rep wanting him to record a bad song they chose. It’s awesome to see Tom stand up for one of his idols! A fiery Petty says: “I could smoke a joint and come up with a better line than that.” #vinyl #vinylcommunity #rogermcguinn #vinylcollector #vinylcollection

TOM PETTY 🎸 Il 20 Ottobre Tom Petty avrebbe compiuto 76 anni. I Won’t Back Down». Aveva difeso i suoi fan. #tompettyofficial #TomPettyAndTheHeartbreakers #IWonTBackDown #FreeFallin #LearningToFly #AmericanGirl #refugee #TravelingWilburys #Heartbreakers #GeorgeHarrison #BobDylan #RoyOrbison #ClassicRock #MaxSerra #StoriaDellaMusica
