Learning from the best is the best thing money can buy. I started following this pretty cool dude who posted some sick videos. And damn, I was inspired because he didn’t give a fu*k about filming anywhere, anytime. And that was something I was terrified of. I knew the basics of video, but I wanted to be better. And, of course @hilarykrueger knew the guy, and told me I had to do it. So, I sent him a DM and I joined his very first creator cohort. That guy, @bennettlooper He’s one of the best out there at teaching how to build a personal brand, grow an audience, and keep it going while staying humble and true to yourself. And, getting to work in person with him one-on-one meant more than I can say, and especially because he’s so eager to teach. Surround yourself with people who push you to be better and show up when you have an idea. Those are the people you want in your corner. Bennett’s next cohort goes live October 26. If getting into social and learning video has been on your list this year, I’d do it. & Bennett, remember when you told me to rip off that bandaid, well here we gooooo — B-roll & 🎥: @ben.teilborg

Same location, different people, different journeys and different stories shared. That’s the magic of Thybrid. Everyone arrives with their own reasons for being here, but through the early mornings, the training, the shared meals and the conversations around the table, something connects us all.

My content isn’t bad, and that’s the problem. On this journey to be at top tier content creator, I’ve started to reach the limit of my skills. I’ve realized that the top creators have something in common: they’re great storytellers. The format doesn’t matter, the niche doesn’t matter, but what keeps people coming back is their ability to craft a story and even a world around themselves and their interests. That’s what keeps people coming back. So now I’m taking time to study and learn craft of storytelling. Visuals, colors, story arcs, tempo, all of it plays a role in telling a great storyteller, and I want to be great. If you’re on that journey too, or just want to pick up some tips to help your content, i hope you follow along.

How things actually get done is a lot less cinematic than it looks… Officially one year of meet me at the track @endurance_dept (!!!!!!!) and heading into year 2 making it bigger & better 🤘🏽 And for me, it’s where I start doing the same thing. Say it out loud, and then keep at it and showing up until it makes sense. The story’s not done, that’s kinda the point (and maybe this is me starting to rip that damn bandaid off @bennettlooper)
