POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I had the opportunity to work with Benedict Florent this summer as he prepared for his upcoming season with Jura Sud Lavans in France.

Although Ben joined us a little later in the summer, he was consistent from day one and incredibly coachable. With his natural athleticism, he embraced every session, paid attention to the small details, and made impressive improvements in both his speed and endurance.

After developing through the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy and continuing his journey overseas, Ben is now looking to take the next step in his professional career.

We’re grateful to have been a part of his offseason preparation and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes this season.

Best of luck, Ben! Keep chasing new heights on the pitch! ⚽💪

Former Whitecaps U19 talent Benedict Florent has signed with JuraSud, a very well known team in N2, 4th division of France. The 2005 is a Midfielder (6 and 8). ⭐⭐ 2023 @league1bc CHAMPIONS!! ⭐⭐ READ...

FAMILY + UNITY

That's what this Gold should probably mean for most of the players, besides that you actually are Champion 🏆

What I mean is...
When I came home, the day before the Finals....with all the stuff our family has to deal with... I went to Yayo's room, and I saw 4 young men... Chilling like nothing mattered...

Just lying there like in the dorms... It Was FREAKING HOT... so I didn't want to ask any questions. I just closed that door.. 😂😂😂 Say less or nothing.

There was
@sydneywathuta
@lukaassaf_
@bennflorent and...
@eloliyon.mutombo_soccer

Yup just chilling, playing FIFA... and making jokes that didn't make sense 😂😂

The next day THEY PLAYED MAGNIFICENT didn't they??

Benny Roughing up the opponents to their knees...
Sydney Throwing Bombs away...
Yayo Making these guys sing...
And Luka coming on to make sure there's no more issues.

But the GK @cohen_park is MVP by far sorry Boys... No discussion.!! That guy was Possessed! He made some serious 💰💰💰 in the penalties and on some critical game saves... STOP IT 🛑... that's his new name for me 👏

What I'm trying to say is, that most see the gold medal... I promise you those GUYS IN THAT ROOM... and others on the team see it differently.

They ALL know what it cost them to get to that opportunity... You Have no Idea!! I'm sure it's the same as for @wfcelite

I realized that day before the Finals... what I saw was:

FAMILY+UNITY before anything else.
The Gold medal is just a token and a reminder...

I'm Sooooo Freaking proud of you guys. You guys showed me, everyone has Extreme Circumstances that they face...
And No one knows...

Congratulations to you guys and to @whitecapsfcyouth

And @league1bc for AN AMAZING SEASON... 👏 Amazing.

If you don’t plan to succeed to you plan to _ _ _ _.

First youth discussion of the year was a success. Remember, don’t start tomorrow, start today 💪🏾 🖊️

Sundays verse shared by @bennflorent

Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ ‭(NKJV) - “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:”

Benedict said this about this verse in Ecclesiastes- “Ecclesiastes 3:1 is my favourite verse, because I feel like it demonstrates how God has a plan and a time for everything. This means everything we are going through is intended to help us to become better and get closer to Him.”

A great verse shared on this Lords day.

Amen.
