Tips for new digitals or kids castings:

1. Make make sure they are clean and their outfits arent wrinkled. My kids always have food on their face??

2. Talk it through before you leave - and make sure their expectations are in check. You might find out your child is nervous or worried. Make sure they are comfortable and support them before you arrive..

3. Talk them through what’s going to happen. The photographer is always a sweetheart and helps them pose, but it could be an idea to practise a little from home. You can make it a game and pretend to take pictures and make a click noise. Everytime they hear the click they freeze in a new pose.

4. Bring a change of shoes! Especially in winter. And maybe an alternative outfit. The angency gives you really good guidelines on this.

5. Make sure its a good experience. Be sure to tell them how brave they are, and if they don’t want to be there, maybe they don’t have to be? Don’t let your own ambition override their comfort. Its ok to try to broaden horizons - but make sure they actually want to. If they aren’t comfortable, don’t force it. Thank them for standing up for how they feel and be their safe space, and just try another time. Everyone understands that tiny people can have big feelings. And this doesn’t let anyone down.

6. Be there. Smile. Wave. Eye contact. Thumbs up. Anything you can do to show them you’ve got their back. And if you can tell they need help saying or doing something, help them.

All in all it’s super fun and quickly done!

We love getting a little trip to the city when we update their images!
