What a beautiful way to wake up this morning!
“Colombina” is out everywhere.

I couldn’t be more proud.

@froesmari is an extraordinary talent and an even more incredible human being.
She deserves everything that’s happening… and so much more!

Working on this banger song alongside Mari, @maria.morais and the amazing @deccomusic crew in Barcelona was fun, inspiring…
pure MAGIC!
Exactly like everything I have the pleasure of sharing with these special people.

Grateful for moments like this. 🙏❤️
Excited to watch “Colombina” fly high everywhere.

Life is good ✨

Anyone who knows me understands I'll never care as much about the painting you sold for a million dollars as I will about what I saw you spontaneously draw on a napkin. Here are some of my favorites of this year's musical napkin drawings.

And because I was raised by a music critic father, I feel an impulse to make lists so even though I didn't always get footage of the shows (or I didn't use a video here) just thanking the musicians whose most influenced my musical year in the room with me @ichikoaoba @_rodrigo_amarante @krislipper @gravywill @tothtunes @kimbramusic @pasqualegrassomusic @mattbauder @stuartbogie @ckgckgckgckg @__katypinke @claudius.agrippa @sun_leong_

Tonight 10/2 @markguiliana is back @zebulonla !!

Mark Guiliana presents “questions (volume one)” featuring Stu Brooks, Jonathan Huber, Benny Bock + special guest

Hailed by The New York Times as “a drummer around whom a cult of admiration has formed,” Grammy-nominated superstar drummer & composer Mark Guiliana brings an adventurous spirit, eclectic palette, and gift for spontaneous invention to a staggering range of styles. Equally virtuosic playing acoustic jazz, boundary-stretching electronic music, or next-level rock, he’s become a key collaborator with such original sonic thinkers as St. Vincent, Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam/Soundgarden), Brad Mehldau, M83, Meshell Ndegeocello, and the late, great David Bowie.

Guiliana’s latest release ‘MARK’, is his first entirely solo work which boldly showcases him as composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist – performing and layering percussion, piano, synthesizers and more. This new foray into his growing body of renowned work, recorded at Studio 606 in Los Angeles, is a culmination of Guiliana’s experiences and inspirations, and at the same time the catalyst of a new direction. ‘MARK’ follows his first two acclaimed Edition Records albums ‘the sound of listening’ and ‘Mischief’.

‘The Golden Heart Protector’ is out now. Seven of my favorite songs, all played with my favorite musicians. Interpreting such great songs was a true pleasure. I learned many things making this album - the biggest one being that music is amazing and that community is humbling. Thank you to @ryanlerman , @jlage , @madicunningham , @alamsarode , @norahjones , @andrewbirdmusic , @jamesbaymusic , @patrickdillett , @chrisgehringer , @bennybock , @dylnday , @tylerchester , @carm_band , @atorecords , my management @goldvillageentertainment , and all of the amazing songwriters for writing these flawless tunes - @blakemills , @jacksonbrowne , @lucinda_williams , Stephen Merrit, @rufuswainwright , @jefftweedy , and @johnfogerty - you inspire me!
