Last night North Baltimore Band and Choir rocked the Stroh Center at Bowling Green State University; with their traditional game filling in for BGSU Falcon Marching Band while they’re on winter break. The story dates back to about 3 years ago when Band Director Ben Pack, called me over to say hello after Performing the National Anthem & Halftime. I hadn’t realized they were a High School Band; and thought it was the FMB by how well they performed. It was awesome to fast forward to last night and help rock the arena; but from the stands this time! All of the students, Alumni, and Colleagues of Ben Pack, were awesome. I had a blast; especially being a kid again; just for a few moments. Happy New Year Go Band Go North Baltimore And Go saxes!!!!

I wanted to extend a very special thank you to Ben Pack and North Baltimore Band and Choir NBHS Marching Band! Back in 2023 I first witnessed them after playing the National Anthem and didn’t even realize they were filling in for the BGSU Pep Band; they were just that darn good. In 2024 they asked me to play and sit in during one of the BG Basketball Games! In 2025 the tradition has continued and they allowed me to hang out with the Saxophone Section at the BG Hockey Game; as they filled in for the BG Pep Band that was on Winter Break! Incredible players and I was really impressed by not only the woodwinds, and brass, but also the Drumline! The whole band rocked Slater Family Ice Arena! Playing hit songs like “Tusk”, “The Kids Aren’t Alright”, “Centuries” and “Uprising”! Keep on rocking and rolling! There were even some middle schoolers out there getting ready and training up for the future! Happy 2025! Go Falcons and Go NBHS!
