Bloody hell… we’re back for season 2!

Incredibly grateful to @nz_on_air for giving us the opportunity to continue Bloke and Oliver’s story as they leave the farm in search of a cure for their zombified loved one.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the producer dream team that is @frannycee78 and @benpowdrell

I can’t wait to return to Planet Aotearoa.

Turns out Matariki was the missing piece all along 🥹🌌 It gave Ben and Fran’s whānau time to be more intentional with the people in their lives. To slow down, reach out, and simply enjoy being together, whether that’s with whānau, friends, or anyone who feels like home 🤍

🎥✨We spoke to 50+ people across Aotearoa about how they are marking Matariki this year, showing that everyone can find their own way to celebrate through the three principles of Matariki: remembrance, celebration, and planning.

some BTS of our lovely cast & crew, from when we went on a road trip of our own..!! a 5hr round trip from Wellington to the beautiful little town of Āpiti, where we found the most stunning scenic bridge to wrap up our shoot 😁

It has been such an amazing honour to have been a part of the team behind @blokeoftheapocalypse.
So incredibly grateful for all of the support from the producers, @benpowdrell @frannycee78 and @kbadwin
And for the guidance and the trust from Charlie. It’s been massive to play a part in a small but mighty production and am forever grateful for the opportunity.

Bloke of the Apocalypse is such a fun and beautiful project that has so much kiwiana and heart all through it. Please please go and watch it! Share it around and tell the kids.

And huge ups to Charlie, such an incredible and hardworking individual who created such a warm and relaxing environment to work in!

Bloke season 2?!?! U be the judge

An amazing crew, incredible cast, and a whole lot of laughs.
This is what collaboration looks like. 💪 Love co-producing with @blcksheepdesign. And thanks to @hewittshomesteadnz for the great location.

What a fantastically chaotic and inspiring week at #Annecy! 🤩

@laurentherveic , Garrick Rawlingson, and Nathan Santell, represented Floating Rock at the festival. This year we:

🐦 Teamed up with @sidefxhoudini for a deep dive into using #KineFX to shape MOTU MANU, a stunning feature in development by @george_elizart about Aoteaora's native birds.

🥝 Packed the room in our 3hr workshop, animating MOTU MANU's quirky kiwi in #Houdini, led by @garrickrawlingson

🤩 Supported and spotlighted @floatingrockpitchfest creators from our development slate. So proud to see a few of them pitch on the other side of the world!

🦭 MANATEENS by Victor Rolf Janhagen
💨 STINKY PITS by Frida and Ben Powdrell / Francesca Carney (Let Nathan Santell know if you want to see more!)

🥖 Brought over 50 creatives together for a picnic, connecting industry pros and students over baguettes, cheese, and saucissons! (yum! and merci beaucoup Mama Rawlingson for organising!)

🙌 Huge thanks to @sidefxhoudini , Screen Wellington, @nzfilm and @vfxguildnz for your support this year. See you next year @annecyfestival

STINKY PITS! Frida and new Step Mother, Laura, slowly build a relationship as they wrestle over a shared original bedtime story in the magical world of the Kingdom of Fancy-Pants. What better way to break the ice than by breaking wind, cry-laughing at a gross-out comedy?

💨 Created by Frida and Ben Powdrell. Meet Francesca Carney representing Stinky Pits and @floatingrockstudio team at @annecyfestival to get a whiff of this development!

DM Nathan Santell, Laurent Herveic, or Garrick Rawlingson to find some time.
