Had an amazing time on the Level 2 intensive acting class with this talented group of humans even tho i’m walking into the scene with a tude 😂.

I can't thank the very talented @billyslaughter1 enough for all of his valuable insight and direction to try and make us all better at our craft. Will definitely make it back for a round 2.

Also hope that my gifts to the group might come in handy during the holidays 🙂🎥

Another great workshop from @billyslaughter1 . It was @theogvideoninja’s first class & I was blessed to be his scene partner. He & everyone else were amazing!

⚔️ Introducing The Front Line ⚔️

Honored to have these 10 actors as the first official SLATE Acting Class participants here at my studio in New Orleans.

For 4 weeks, every Wednesday night for 3 hours they went in fearlessly with grit, discipline, creativity, passion and a true hunger to learn and grow as actors and people.

Acting is a contact sport.

To be an actor you must be part investigator and psychologist, with compassion, empathy and keen powers of observation.

And be ready to do the reps and train hard.

If this business were easy we’d all be movie stars.

I was honored to lead these ten into the battle of navigating relationships, intentions, emotions, words, conflicts, environments, blocking, re-directs, nerves, tears and ultimately growth.

Actors are tough. Tougher than you think.

I love helping actors develop inner excellence and understand the journey to that mindset is the win.

And, as a result, they raise their own personal standards of what it means to even be in the game.

And fun fact: They are all holding an actual piece of slate from the roof of an 1800s home in New Orleans.

🤺

1- BEN. Open-minded, pleasure to work with.

2- RAEGAN. Powerhouse.

3- KONNOR. Never gives up. Funny.

4- ABBIE. A butterfly emerging. Will break your heart with her work.

5-BRITT. Lucille Ball meets Marlon Brando.

6- SIDNEY. Face card never declines. Hungry. Intellectual.

7- DESTINIE. MVP. Resilient. Massive growth in a month.

8- BRAD. Old soul. New fire.

9- EMMA. Learning how to be dangerous.

10- KEIMOND. Underdog. Or maybe Underpuppy. Thinker.

I’ve barely been open for two months and class has sold out in less than a week two months in a row.

JULY IS SOLD OUT.

AUGUST session is available now on my website. It’s called The Heavy Lifting.

LFG.

Despite hearing this song repeatedly, as I get older I struggle to remember to take more photos. 👴🏻 This has been life the past couple of months 🙏🏻💙 So thankful for the people that continue to surround me, love me and make me feel like I belong. I hope 2026 brings more blessings for us all.
