Really liked what we saw today on the mound from 2029 Tate Underwood (Benton HS)

6-0, 155-pounds with more to come.

Good athlete who can land all three in any count. Super confident in his change up to both RHH & LHH.

Punched out 5️⃣ in his two innings of work.

Here come the tigers! 🐅

Benton’s 4-star QB Malachi Zeigler is ready to compete in 2026 🔥

The SMU commit talks about: a team full of leaders, the town of Benton, head coach Stephen Dennis, the student section, and which game he’s most looking forward to *spoiler alert* it’s week 1 vs Northwood.

We’ll have an interview with head coach Stephen Dennis dropping soon

2029 Tate Underwood (Benton HS)

6-1, 160-pounds

Has grown and gotten a lot stronger since last summer’s Junior Future Games.

Up to 94 mph off the bat today and everything was hit through the middle of the field.

Good name to file away in the state’s ‘29 class out of the northern part of the state 👍

** TURN PHONE **
Benton’s Hayden Millen doing some serious yard work this spring 💪

He takes a pass from QB Malachi Zeigler to the house.

S/O to the convoy of blockers. Nice work, Tigers!

Last week we had the chance to watch Bud compete in the first round of the playoffs against St. Amant—and what a weekend it was! After a doubleheader on Saturday, they came out with the win. Bud showed up in every way, pitching, catching, and stepping in as DH.

Watching his growth in the game has been so special, but even more than that, seeing the bond and friendships he’s built with his BHS teammates truly melts my heart. Bud, you are kind, hardworking, fun, energetic, and loyal—and it shows both on and off the field.

I am beyond proud of the way you continue to push through and work to perfect your craft, no matter what challenges come your way. Your future is so bright, and I couldn’t be prouder of you. 💜⚾️

Daily Devotional
Choosing Joy In The Middle Of Uncertainty

Life does not always give us clear answers or easy paths. Sometimes we find ourselves in seasons where nothing feels settled and everything seems up in the air. In those moments, it is easy to let worry take over and steal our peace. But God invites us to choose joy anyway, not because everything is perfect, but because He is still present. Joy is not about pretending life is easy, it is about trusting that God is steady even when life is not. When we choose joy in uncertain times, we are declaring that our hope is not in circumstances, but in Him. And that kind of joy cannot be shaken by what we do not understand.

Bible Verse:

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

Romans 12:12

This was the first of back-to-back hit batsmen. The second comes with the bases loaded in the sixth to break a scoreless tie. Destrehan winds up with 4 runs, but did this batter lean into the pitch? #318preps

Competing is one thing—showing up for your community means more. After earning a win at home yesterday, a group of our Cavaliers participated in a Home Run Derby in support of @bentontigersbaseball as they prepare for the second round of playoffs.

Congratulations to JP Cormier on winning the 18+ division, and to Hayden LeBleu for tying for third place.

More importantly, this night was about coming together for a cause that truly matters. Gate and dessert auction proceeds directly benefited the families of Bella Cassell and Callie Durbin, who tragically lost their lives on April 11.

We couldn’t be more proud of our team for representing BPCC with heart and purpose. ⚾️⚔️ #GoCavs #SwordsUp #BPCCproud #NJCAA #RegionXIV
