@chefwong_aus is now in Point Cook!! 🥟✨ So you know I had to take Mum to go try it out 💞🫶🏻 And @bep.ba8 definitely had LOTS to say 😂 Would you guys want to see a more detailed mukbang/review with Mum? 👀 Overall, we really enjoyed everything we tried, but our favourites were definitely the BBQ pork pastry and the prawn & scallop dumpling 🤤🥢 I’m honestly so happy they’ve opened in Point Cook because this means I don’t have to drive all the way to the other side of town whenever I’m craving quality yum cha 🙌🏻 One thing Mum especially loved was that you can order dumplings by the piece! Such a simple thing, but it makes dining with odd numbers SO much easier. No more having to agree on one basket to share, everyone can just order the dumplings they actually want and try a bit of everything 🥹💗 Have you tried @chefwong_aus yet? 👀 - 🏷️ #ad #yumcha #dimsum #dumplings #foodreview melbourne

My mum’s latest food obsession: Bánh Mì Que 🥖✨ (Traditionally the baguette is suppose to be even smaller and thinner but this is the closest thing we could get!) If you’ve never had one before, it’s a skinny Vietnamese baguette filled with pâté, butter (or Vietnamese mayo), and sometimes chilli sauce. Simple, but ridiculously good. We always get ours from Nhu Lan in Footscray, and if you can, go early! We arrived around 9:30am and the breadsticks had just come out of the oven 🤤 Our order: Vietnamese mayo/butter + pâté. At less than $5 each, they’re crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and honestly one of the best cheap eats around. The only rule? Eat it immediately. Fresh out of the oven is when it’s at its absolute best. If you’re taking some home, you can also buy the breadsticks plain and grab the butter and pâté from the fridge to assemble later. (And probs pop the breadstick in the oven for a bit to crisp it up) Have you tried bánh mì que before? 👀 - #footscray #banhmi #foodreview #vietnamese #melbourne
