Starting in February, YEMC members studying at the University of Burundi committed to continuous learning and professional growth. With the support of Tujenge Scholars Louange Imigisha and Sarah Akitugabiye, training sessions on LinkedIn were conducted for YEMC members Kelvin Ishemezwe and Deo Niyungeko at the American Corner (U.S. Embassy in Burundi).

The sessions focused on understanding what LinkedIn is, its importance in career development, and how to use it to access opportunities and build meaningful professional networks. As we value sharing and seeking opportunities, YEMC benefited greatly from this knowledge exchange.

Through this initiative, Kelvin and Deo established valuable connections with the Tujenge Scholars and remain motivated to continue learning, networking, and connecting with professionals beyond their immediate circles.

In Mugara, education has often been overlooked and not given the importance it deserves. Many young people have grown up believing that school is not for them, and as a result, countless dreams have been cut short. Through YEMC, we are working to change this mindset step by step, heart by heart♥️

For the past two months, we have been engaging young minds in learning, teamwork, and critical thinking. We see a transformation happening: curiosity is growing, minds are opening, and a new belief in the power of education is being born.

🥳🥳Today we celebrate two months of this journey. These young people are not just attending lessons they are cultivating their minds, building confidence, and shaping a brighter future for themselves and for Mugara.
