“Yogaś citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ”

Yoga is the mastery and stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.

What does that really mean?

Our minds are constantly moving—thoughts, emotions, reactions, memories, distractions. These are the vrittis (fluctuations). They shape how we see the world, often pulling us away from clarity and truth.

Yoga isn’t just the physical practice. It’s a path of returning.
A practice of softening the noise so we can experience what’s underneath it.

When the mind becomes still, we are no longer identified with every passing thought. We come back to our true nature—steady, aware, present.

So the purpose of yoga is not to become something new,
but to remember who you are without the interference of the mind.

Every breath, every posture, every moment of awareness…
is a step toward that stillness. 🪷

Forever grateful to the @ahanayoga family—I truly can’t imagine my path without it 🤍✨
