After one day of break we really needed we switched plans.
Castor ridge in the middle of a thunderstorm was enough so we decided to do the Lyskamm traverse another time with better confidence, more experience and better conditions. But there was a lil nose got in our eyes.

the Naso del Lyskamm 🏔️

At first we had to cross the glacier and met some really nice italien dudes i made friends with that day. After that, there was a great but easy rock climbing section ending up at the foot of an ice wall we had to climb. The 4000m mark was reached the 5. time this trip and i felt more than excited climbing with my ice axes up the wall. Thin air in the lungs, sun in the neck and the summit just ahead.
On our way down we had some issues to find the right way but we got it done quickly. The next bad weather window came up behind us so we had to hurry up to get the way done across the cresvasses. And those were really big!

Day two of our Spaghetttiround was different than first planned but at least so beautiful as we expected. We startet at the Ref. Ayas at 4:30 and climbed up to the Bivacco Rossi el Volante after a 1.5h hike up the glacier. After the bivacco there was a steep flank to climb, up to 45° and it was more than fun but really stressful because of the softened snow and hail already at 9 a.m. We planned the Breithorn Traverse but i think to climb down after the summit of Roccia Nera was the smartest we can do. The third guy ist Jan, we took him with us after he asked if he can join us for the day.

Did the Roccia Nera today. Trad climbing section on the Way to the bivacco and steep snow and ice wall to climb made it an unforgettable experience for me. The exposed ridge to the summit made it quite better🏔️
