POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Having vowed to myself I'd never do another slam again... I appear to be doing one next week in Berlin (though I hasten to add, not in German)!
So looking forward to hanging out with Rhys and Ari from @berlinspokenword for a few days....

Mask off 🦢
Written on July 16th (cumple de mi hermanita)

"I found faith, inside my fear" ❤️‍🔥

Qué rico se siente desplegar las alas...Don’t shrink yourself, bb. Release yourself. And we’ll all be free :)

It’s like hide and seek — there’s this rule that the last person to be found can liberate everyone who was caught before. So..."Por mí y por todas mis compañeras" 🦢

Si sientes un llamado, síguelo! Que estás acompañada por toda una red invisible, infinita.

No aceptes menos. Siéntete MÁS. Eres MÁS.

Thank you @frantastic_berlin_ for inviting me to @berlinspokenword where I had the chance to perform the poem in this reel and the opportunity to become a swan.

🌡️WEATHER UPDATE: THE HEATWAVE HAS PASSED🌡️ After an exceptionally hot weekend, temperatures have finally returned to normal.

The dancefloors have emptied
The hand fans have finally been folded 🪭
… And our sleep schedules are still under investigation 🔬

But, we are definitely still feeling the heat.
To everyone who danced, performed, played, built, hosted, facilitated, created, flirted, wandered, worked, helped, cared, showed up and made 4Q4: HEATWAVE what it was…

🩷THANK YOU!🩷

To all the collectives, artists, DJs, performers, workshop hosts, market makers and beautiful humans who brought their own world into 4Q4: thank you for trusting us with your energy, ideas and queer magic.

To the teams working behind the scene: thank you for keeping this heatwave phenomenon running through the weekend.

And to everyone who came through the doors: thank you for filling the spaces we created with queer joy, curiosity, care, connection and some wonderfully questionable decisions. We wanted to create a weekend where our queer and FLINTA* communities could take up space together. You made it very, very, very hot.

🌡️FINAL FORECAST🌡️
4Q4 Heatwave: officially over.
Collective joy: lasting & lingering.
Queer euphoria: stubbornly persistent.
Chance of us doing this again: dangerously high.

💦 Until the next weather warning.💦

🩷We love you🩷
Your 4Q4 team

"To inhabit the distance
To tell the tale of the unknown
The steel monster protects at its heart
Its clandestine lovers.

To inhabit the distance
With an empty belly, bitting on fear
They break out from the world to lose
and to paint diamonds mined from the shadow.
Once at night, to tell flawless stories
to fall asleep wonderful.

To inhabit the distance
Far away from the ones that dictate, force and threaten

Each freight car is a scream
Each freight car is a quest
Each freight car around the sun
Doing its revolution."

"Habiter la distance
Conter l'inconnu

With poems about the arbeitsamt (job office) to poems about feminism, her poetry is sharp, seductive, and enticingly personal.’ ‘Lady Gaby turns her spoken words into an interactive, in- your-face performance accompanied by beats, projections and costumes. ‘Sexy and Powerful show’!
