HUMAN ATTACHMENT ‘26

a collection inspired by attachment theory and the ways we learn to connect, protect ourselves, and relate to others.

while each attachment style was expressed differently through silhouette, styling, movement, and color, every look was constructed from the same material: yarn.

soft, familiar, and comforting, yarn evokes warmth and care, qualities often associated with childhood, the very stage of life where attachment styles begin to form.

secure attachment was represented through flowing silhouettes, soft textures, and cream tones to evoke comfort, safety, freedom, and security.

anxious attachment was constructed almost as armor. structured, restrictive, and boxed in. predominantly black with hints of deep red, representing the anxiety that lingers beneath the surface.

avoidant attachment was represented through a rebellious, all-black, sharp silhouette. powerful, untouchable, and intentionally distant. the black veil creating a physical barrier.

disorganized attachment was expressed through contradiction. a collision of colors and shapes, the red yarn tangling. this look represents the complexity and unpredictability of disorganized connection.

every detail was intentionally chosen to reflect the associated attachment style.
