can’t believe it’s been 2 months in our newborn bubble already with one of the most adorable gifts we’ve ever received. parenthood is a different kind of rewarding. postpartum, especially recovering from a c-section, is incredibly humbling and honestly really hard at times. I do count it all joy though. so far my obsessions with Sonny are his yawns, newborn scrunch, contact naps (there is nothing that compares to this!), 5 am snuggles after feeding, and most recently we’ve been getting our first smiles! he does fight his daytimes naps and I dont love that 😂 but I seriously love this boy so so much. He’s brought so much sunshine to our lives already ☀️ it’s still and always Sonny Days Ahead 💛

All I wanted for my birthday this year was to be surrounded by love 💗 Forever grateful for my family and friends celebrating this milestone with me!! It was perfect and so great catching up with friends and family I hadn’t seen in a while 🫶🏽✨

on Friday July 17th my water broke unexpectedly at 5am. Our baby boy Sonny made his entrance intro the world 3 weeks early but perfectly healthy. He is absolutely beautiful and we are crazy about him already. It is an indescribable feeling to see and hold your newborn for the first time. The Lord has been SO kind to us and we are so blessed and grateful for our bundle of joy. We’re officially a family of 3! Our little Sunshine 🥹☀️💛😭

On your first Father’s Day, as we prepare to meet our son, I hope he is as sweet, kind, and gentle as you are. I hope he cares and looks out for his mom the way you do for yours. I pray he is as selfless as you are and has your heart of integrity in all that you do. The world needs more men like you, I’m so excited to raise our baby boy to look up to you as the best example of a father. You will absolutely be the best dad and I feel a different kind of blessed & privilege to carry your seed and legacy. I love you so much Bernee 🤍

Still in awe that I get to live in the privilege of motherhood and even more grateful that I get to do it with the love of my life. growing something beautiful with the love of my life🌿. the past few weeks have revealed a lot, especially that God holds me fast. but also that my husband is more than I could have ever dreamed of. in deep grief and sorrow, he has showed up, not just for me but all of my family. randomly planting flowers in my aunt’s yard, holding a grieving mother during some of the worst days ever, holding me in the middle of the night while crying but also fixing me a bowl of cereal 🥹 I just love him so much and carrying half of me and half of him is such an honor and blessing.
