I had the pleasure of seeing Danny Meyer at Stacy Berns’Retail Influencer dinner at Manhatta.

Danny’s new book, What Could Possibly Go Right?, comes out later this month. I LOVE the title. 📚

So much of business and life is spent asking:

What could go wrong?
What if it doesn’t work?
What if I fail?

Danny flips the question.

What could possibly go right?

The book is about building and scaling culture, and one idea especially stayed with me:

Culture is what happens when the leader isn’t in the room.

It shows up in who you hire, who you promote, how people treat each other and what happens when things don’t go as planned.

But the bigger message is optimism. Not blind optimism ... practical optimism.

See the risks. Know the realities. But leave room for something great to happen.

so incredibly grateful for opportunities like this that allow me to create, connect, and meet such incredible and influential leaders in the fashion space, a world i always dreamed of being part of one day!

this night brought me right back to my high school days, sitting on the couch watching project runway and saying, “one day, i want to be a designer.” and in my own way, i am🥹

being asked to stitch on the new GapBag was such a surreal and special moment, and one i’ll forever cherish💙 experiences like this inspire me to keep putting myself out there, continue to just walk up and introducr myself, take the chance, and knock on those doors. you never know where one “hello” might lead🤩

so grateful for this night and for the many more opportunities i hope to come✨

Here are 10 things I learned on Day 2 of Alibaba.com’s CoCreate 2026 ✨:

1️⃣ AI is becoming a real everyday business tool — not just something to experiment with.

2️⃣ The best tech solves a clear business problem and makes something easier, faster, or more profitable.

3️⃣ Omnichannel matters. Businesses shouldn’t rely on just one platform to reach customers.

4️⃣ Customers may discover you in one place and buy from you somewhere completely different.

5️⃣ Sourcing is part of your growth strategy, not just an operations task.

6️⃣ Scaling a business and building long-term wealth are not always the same thing.

7️⃣ Strong business ecosystems require entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, government, and support organizations working together.

8️⃣ Intentional networking can create real opportunities — sometimes one conversation is enough.

9️⃣ A strong pitch has to clearly explain the problem, solution, opportunity, and why your business can win.

🔟 Great ideas still come down to execution, distribution, relationships, and adaptability.

One thing I keep coming back to from last night: know your customer, but more importantly, listen to them. Ask questions. Be with them. Really understand what matters to them.

The other big takeaway: culture for culture’s sake isn’t the point. It’s about understanding what’s actually relevant to your customer and creating something that feels real to them.

So many great conversations around the future of retail, culture, AI and, ultimately, the importance of human connection. Thank you @bernsandco for bringing together such an incredible group of people.

On the road again… ✈️ Conference season is officially here!

Over the years, I’ve witnessed that some of the best opportunities don’t happen on the stage or even inside the sessions.

They happen in the conversations in between.

A tea. A quick introduction. The person sitting next to you. The DM you sent before you arrived.

And sometimes, the follow-up Months or even Years later.

But here’s what I’ve learned: just being in the room isn’t enough. You have to be intentional about how you show up.

Forever in our hearts. We all owe a huge debt of gratitude to the indomitable powerhouse that was @gloriasteinem.

I had the treat of a lifetime last year as the @thedealmakehers had afternoon tea at Gloria Steinem’s apartment in celebration of Women’s History Month 🫖

Ms. Steinem shared that “across the generations, there is as much to learn as there is to teach” as “the importance of dialogue and circular communication ( and not so ironically we were sitting in a semi-circle) between all of us” is critical to success and pursuing your path in life.

We all owe this pioneer and fighter a debt of gratitude. Thank you for standing tall and strong for all of us and for an intimate glimpse inside your career trajectory and the driving forces behind it🏆
