💥 Buckle up for an atypical 🍺 post 👊🏽

Perception is reality. While that seems an easy route to take, try to think a little deeper.
Why do some people post the content they do? Is it for attention or healing purposes?
For likes or to be relatable? For me, it’s an outlet. It’s a fun escape from the chaos that life can bring.
•
I gotta tell ya. It’s downright hilarious how narrow-minded the “open-minded” are behaving these days.

For me, beer is enjoyable in small doses. Drinking a beer doesn’t make you an alcoholic but to the narrow minded dime-a-dozen troll.. you are. Doesn’t make their assumptions true. You know what assuming does, right? 🤭

From watching afar, I have seen some of the nicest people bashed and trashed, and think no one notices (yes! Even on social media). For some of us who have been through hell and came out strong, we can pick up on it miles away. You’re not fooling ANYONE.

“Butter face” “your face is meh but your body is banging”. I would be rich if I had a penny for every time I have heard that and it always comes from lonely men looking to score booby pics and was sorely rejected. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Being made fun of for many years of my life, it has given me a tough skin. Odd right? Mindset is everything.
I may have what some consider an ugly face but my husband loves it all of me and I am 💯 for him, not you.

To end this rant in the most beer-loving of ways. Drink whatever beer you enjoy; light, dark or fruity, it’s your money so buy what you want. Post whatever you feel you’re passionate about; bikinis, American flags, rainbows or puppies. There will ALWAYS be those trolls looking to score attention.

Are you really in control of you/your content if you’re worried what people think? Life is short. F the negativity and leave it be. There is way too much precious life to live than worrying what PEOPLE think. After all, God made us all beautiful and wonderful in our own way. Cheers, my beer-loving friends 🍻

The countdown begins until I head off on my annual two months in Costa Rica which means I will be packing LOTS of swimwear! 👙 Most of y’all know that I’m searching for and testing out brands that make plus-size swimsuits year round and over the past six years, I’ve definitely found several that I keep going back to year after year.
⠀⠀⠀
I made sure to only list brands that are going beyond a 3X cuz plus-size bodies don’t just stop there and we ALL deserve to feel supported and cute out there! 💓 And because I tend to look for swimwear I can surf or paddleboard in, this list is more active swim based.

One more for the road 🏄🏾‍♀️ Literally on a flight back to the U.S. as I write this and starting to shift gears in preparation for my first mountain rock-climb next week ⛰️ I already have my climbing harness from @mistymountainthreadworks ordered and in its way, but any other gear tips, tricks or need-to-knows are welcome! 💓

2 months in Costa Rica is coming to a close and I’m packing things up to ready myself for the next outdoor adventure ⛰️ Looking back over these first several months of 2023, I can honestly say that I’m PROUD of myself for being the action behind my words. That I can encourage others to put themselves out there because I dared to do it for myself first.
⠀⠀⠀
I started the year completing my Aerial Yoga certification and I suppose I just wanted to keep pushing myself because then I tackled skiing…and then it was conquering new hikes, more surfing and empowering women in what will be my Flagship surf retreat in Costa Rica. Now, I’m focused on being in Colorado in just a matter of days to take on rock-climbing and new challenges as part of a 2023 cohort of outdoor leaders and innovators.

I don’t know what all this year has in store, but I am committed to going all in for the rest of it just like I have so far. I am not letting up. I am not stopping. I am becoming more of the woman who I dream of becoming and no one can stop me! 💓
