A dream-come-true in the can with this crew! Endless adoration and thanks to the nation of Estonia. A country overflowing with funny, kind, hardworking, and multitalented people who still love and value pristine nature and thoughtful art.

And to my friends: @julian.directs , our visionary director, for carrying this ultra-special film all these years. @wheels41215 , the workin’ man’s DP, for his eye of Caravaggio and ethos of a Pittsburgh roofer. @arielmccleese , our femme horror scholar, for making sure we didn’t make a quiet contemplative drama! @oanafilmiancu , @haleebernard , jasonbeck, anthonyciardelli, our tireless producers, for always keeping the ship afloat. To our yet-to-be-announced cast for being immensely chill, talented, and one-of-a-kind human beings. And of course @gail_snaily , my inspiration for this story, for always urging me to keep dreaming. I love you all. Thank you so much. Impossible to do any of this without you.

This evening, December 4th, marks the Estonian premiere of Miia Tervo’s tragicomedy “The Missile”! 🚀 🎥

Although the story is set in Lapland, over 100 Estonian creators contributed both in front of and behind the camera.

The role of a nuclear scientist and doomsday prophet is played by Tiina Tauraite, with @meelisveeremets as the cinematographer and @kairehendrix as the makeup artist.

The production period was led by line producer @annelisavitski, with casting handled by @helijurisson, and the art department supported by production designer @gettervahar. Costume miracles were brought to life by @anulensment and Kadri Varblane. Jan Andresson was responsible for on-set sound recording, Lapland’s lighting magic was created by @tonistuuga, grip solutions were engineered by @bertiltarbe, and stunts were coordinated by Enar Tarmo. @locationunit took care of the filming sites, while equipment was provided by @highvoltagerental and @quartalstudio.

The visual effects were crafted by @frostfilms_vfx, and final film copies were perfected at @orbitalvoxstudios. The film was co-produced by @stellar_film and Komeetta, with funding from the @eestifilmiinstituut, @kultuurkapital, and Film Estonia.

Thank you to all of you, your hardworking teams, the filming locations, actors, and partners who contributed! 🫶🏼

“Rakett” lands in cinemas this Friday, December 6th! 🚀 📍
