🌿✨ Meet Cameron! ✨🌿

🎓 Sophomore Music Studies Major
📍 Cedar Park

🎵 Cameron had never heard of the bassoon until instrument testing going into middle school, and they ended up having to choose between tuba and bassoon. They thought bassoon looked cooler. 😎🎶

🤘 Cameron is a big fan of metal, especially TOOL and Megadeth. But, they also really love musicians like Radiohead and Jeff Buckley 🎸🎧

🫶 Outside of rehearsals, Cameron loves spending free time hanging out with the BMB Trombones! They also like to wind down with playing Pokémon games or scrapbooking. 🎮📖✨

🥁 Fun Fact: Cameron was a conductor with the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps this past summer! 🎶⭐

Tour post 3/3 - The End

I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to talking about the relationships and connections I made at the troopers because even just thinking about it makes me feel like my heart has been ripped out.

I suppose a good place to start is a thank you. Thank you to those who immediately welcomed me in and showed me warmth and compassion, giving me a reason to come back and give my all every day no matter what I faced. Thank you to my team hands for being a strong foundation to lean on when shows and rehearsals got stressful and chaotic. Thank you to all my fellow troopers who saw this war through to the end. I’m so privileged to have rehearsed and performed with such an incredible group of people all summer. I’m honored to be apart of the long blue line with all of you. This season has left me with memories I will treasure for a lifetime and I’m beyond thankful for everyone who’s been apart of them.

Some relationships I formed at the troopers go beyond what any words can truly convey. Beyond the friends I found at the troopers I also found my family. Those who I leaned on through all of tour and celebrated every major moment with down to that very last night on the farm. These people have irreparably changed my very being down to my core and impacted my life in a truly one of kind way. You know who you are and you deserve a very special thank you for being my reason to stay and push through till the end and my reason I smiled when I wanted to cry at times. I love each of you and will treasure you and our friendship till the end.

My final message, if you make it this far, is to chase your dreams like crazy. If someone had told me a year or two ago that I’d make it into a top 12 world class corps I would’ve probably called them crazy and dismissed the thought. I spent so long thinking I couldn’t that I never even tried. In the wise words of H. Jackson Brown “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
