We had the time of our lives a few weeks ago at @bestbuttcamp ‘s fundraiser event: Back to Werk 💚 We could not be more excited to be a part of such a kickass community of Seattle burners.

The music was insatiable, the vibes were incomparable, and the excitement for the burn is absolutely PULSATING WITHIN

We love our family and are edging with excitement for all the awesomeness to come

It’s Breakfast Club story tiiiiime! A few years ago I was scheduled to do stage managing for Shameless on the Monkey Loft rooftop at the Breakfast Club around 8am. We watched the fireworks from our apartment had some champagne and went to bed to get up early for the shift and festivities. When I awoke, I had a message from @wigurtle telling me to bring a flash drive cause… ya never know. So I grabbed 1 flash drive and headed out. Upon arrival I had heard that the headliner was pulling some real shady shit regarding his flight getting canceled in order to keep his deposit. Turns out he purposely missed the flight and was lying his ass off about it, going as far getting someone to pretend to be a ticket agent on the phone. Needless to say, Shameless saw through DJ Assault’s bullshit (Öõōøóòôœps, I named names!…) and they asked me to play his slot on the rooftop. At this point I was feeling pretty good (😅🙃🤪) and was up for the challenge. I go up to the CDJs about 10 minutes before my set and I was informed that the link wasn’t working. At this point I was pretty new to being a flash drive DJ and made the rookie mistake of only bringing 1 flash drive. @robertginkgo was just finishing up his set and offered to clone my drive and put it onto one he had but it was gonna take a little time. So in the meantime, I started playing using 1 flash drive and mixing into my iPhone which I had plugged into another channel. Somehow I pulled off what was easily the most difficulty I’ve ever had playing a DJ set. Tomorrow I'm looking to recapture some of that rooftop magic from 1.30-3PM. I’m not saying it’s going to go as haywire as it did that time… but I will be wearing the same poncho I was then so anything is in play. There’s enough local and international talent lined up to knock your socks off starting at 4AM and going until 4PM. Happy New Year and see y’all tomorrow for the festivities!

Part of me is still in 2019. I don’t really know what to say about this year. It’s been…an interesting one. Overall, I know I sound like a broken record with this, but I’m super grateful for connecting with new peeps and all these opportunities. Happy New Year’s Eve! Back for my third year in a row playing one of my favorite parties to be apart of in any capacity!
