Stop whatever you are doing for a moment and ask yourself: Am I afraid of death because I won’t be able to do this anymore?

2024

I've posted a lot of big moments this year .. a year full of incredibly big moments. 2024 brought many visitors to California, a few amazing trips, several lovely weddings/engagements - not to mention Audrey and I’s!

That being said, those big moments don't make the year. Little ones do. The older I get and the faster time slips by, the more I have consiously made the effort to try and really recognize and live in these special little moments that make our days special. The golden light of the setting sun on the facade of my office building when I'm working late again. The plating of a lovely dinner we've made at home surrounded by a house of our things. The click of poker chips as cigar smoke wafts through the grape leaves in Jared's backyard. The crash of waves at a beach that is always less than 30 minutes away. Fog over backbay for an early morning Long Run. The laughter of friends, the thrill of games, the pounding footsteps of running with a pack of amazing people. This year has been full of a truly unbelievable medley of incredible little moments, and my only solace that I can't relive them over and over again is that there is surely more to come. Heading into 2025, I am more committed than ever to recognize these magical touches of life, and I love that I always get to do that with so many of you.
