I used to think flying coach made me humble. 🙌

A friend kept telling me, “Fly first class. Stay in the five-star hotels.” I figured that was ego. Then I traveled to Shanghai and India, and I wondered what the big deal was. There’s a difference.

It was never about the fancy seat or the thread count. It’s about the room you’re standing in. The people in the lobby, the conversations at the table, the connections that only happen when you’re around people playing at a higher level.

It’s the same at The Vault. General Admission gets your foot in the door, and that’s a solid start. But work your way up to CEO, because that’s where the real relationships and connections happen.

When women who build things sit at the same table, the conversation changes.

This was our lunch at the Vault Conference at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Business owners, leaders, and women who make big decisions every week were all at one table, cheering each other on instead of sizing each other up.

The idea we kept circling back to was simple: rooms like the Vault need more women in them, and we’re the ones who can bring them. We talked about building a circle of women who show up to Patrick Bet-David’s events together, lift each other up once we’re there, and make sure the next woman who walks in knows right away that she belongs, because she does.

That’s the energy I came home with: more women in these rooms, more women asking the bold questions, and more women building something they’re proud of and refusing to do it alone.

Some of the best parts of Vault happened between the sessions.

Over lunch, we kept coming back to one idea: there’s room for so many more women in rooms like the Vault, and we can be the ones who bring them. We talked about building a community where women cheer each other on, show up together at Patrick Bet-David’s events, and make the next woman feel like she belongs there from the moment she walks in, because she does.

A table full of people who run companies, lead teams, and make big decisions every week.

That’s the thing about capable people.
They don’t stop learning.
They just get more selective about who they learn with.
