Manchester to London. 352km. 13hr 14min moving time (15hr 35min total time). Cooked yet happy.

I was worried I’d find this M2L harder than the 2018 edition but I needn’t have worried. Bike and kit technology have vastly improved. My nutrition was better (thanks @styrkr.uk). I had the unstoppable @kitkatchungky as a pacer and the best group I could have asked for of Rapha comrades and @simonmottramrapha, who pulled me along faster than I ever thought myself capable of. Plus good weather and a tasty tailwind to boot.

The route and the feed stops were brilliant. To be able to ride down half of the country and barely have to put a foot down is unreal, all you have to think about is the riding. And ride we did.

It was a long and tough day out, but it was for a great cause. Unlike most charity rides @ambitiousaboutautism do the majority of the work organising this event and it was great to be able to give back and raise money for them. I reached my target thanks to many of you (you know who you are! Thank you!) but if you want to add to it my donation page is still open.

It’s instantly become my best day on the bike EVER and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to challenge themselves next year. Follow @m2l_ride for details of next years event.

Thanks @elevenspeedloservincent for capturing some epic shots of the day 🫶🏼

Keep on keeping on. #M2L

Nervy at the start.

@simonmottramrapha and @kitkatchungky leading us out of Manchester

Nothing more depressing than seeing 340km to go on your @wahoofitnessofficial (I hid that screen pretty early on)

The Peak District at 7am doesn’t disappoint

The freak rainstorm that hit a few hours in but only lasted 10 minutes

Halfway through

The midlands had its moments

Didn’t expect to be picking up trophies on a 350km ride but that’s what happens when @rosseyeview is on the front

The brutal climb just after the last feed stop almost ended me tbf

A heroes welcome 🥹 thanks @spenkoa for capturing this!

Teamwork makes the 220 mile dream work 💙❤️ M2L 2026: Pacer Edition

Nothing like a bit of false advertising on the 24km/h av group pacing front 🤣👀 A pleasure to have paced and rolled across the country from Manchester to London, with various amazing M2L riders, the Rapha HQ crew and Mr Simon Mottram himself 🥳 and my oh my, what an incredible day it was 🙌 Sunshine, pouring rain, headwinds and the heat… we had it all!

Huge thank you to @ambitiousaboutautism x @rapha for the planning, logistics and organisation. It was flawless which made the 220 mile challenge feel that little bit easier 🫶Thank you to every helper and cheerleader at the feed stations, en route and at the finish. Always an electric atmosphere to roll across the finish line to, so thank you 🥳

Thinking ahead… Will 2027 be the year for the most women participating in M2L? @becks88552 and I will certainly be doing our best to recruit you ladies 💃💪 What better year to set yourself an incredible challenge, for an amazing cause, in the same year with the TDFF avec Zwift starting in the UK?!

In honour of riding very very very far tomorrow, here’s a throwback to Rapha FAR01 at the end of May 🌞💛

Gathering at @hernehillvelodrome one warm sunny Saturday morning, we set out to tackle a 170km route into deep Kent. The county, also known as the Garden of England, sure lived up to its name as we were reward with some lovely lanes and beautiful views (after some very interesting 15%+ climbs aha)🌸🌼 With a total elevation of around 2800m, combined with the humidity and heat, this was one of the most challenging @rapha_london FARs yet! ⛰️

Excellent company and some VERY punchy hills made for an intense but wonderful day out 💛☀️🔥

Thanks co-ride leader @scoot__ who TT’d her way back to our group at the top of Ide Hill! And to @floribarwil for organising such a Freaking Awesome Ride, as well as all those on the ground supporting with feed stops, encouragement, and logistics 🫶☺️

And last but never least, @oliverbrookwell on the 📸 Capturing the very best (and sometimes too candid) moments of us 🔥🔥🔥🫡

470 photos to choose from, and just 20 to summarise almost 5 years of fun, chaos, laughter and grind. My time at @rapha has come to a wonderful end, and it’s fair to say I’m going to miss this incredible team who love riding bikes and taking on the impossible. I can’t fit you all into a carousel, but you’d be hard pushed to find a better group of people anywhere. Hundreds of flat whites consumed and probably about the same amount of campaigns launched. We’ve laughed, we’ve sung and we’ve hopefully inspired a few more people to go and jump on their bikes. It’s been a wild ride, but after all - it’s never just a ride. See you on the road. ❤️
