I woke up this morning to a text with an audio captured from Ireland this summer.

A group of 15 women (and Timothy!) singing along to this song in the remote countryside of County Cork, late at night, all of us sat in each others’ arms by the fire.

And the timing could not have been more perfect.

There is so much rage exploding right now.

The fires of our feminine hearts are screaming so VERY loud indeed.

We’re all tired of this sh*t.

And yet, there is a pulse in all of this that feels unstoppable.

HOLY unstoppable.

And the lyrics returned this morning:

WE’VE ALL GOT STORIES TO TELL
WE NEED YOURS AS WELL
SO LET THE FLAMES IN YOU ERUPT

WE’RE DONE PLAYING PATIENCE
BECAUSE WE’RE HERE TO RAISE A NATION
MOVING MOUNTAINS AS WE RISE UP

HOW DARE YOU PLAY SMALL
AFRAID OF STANDING TALL
ON THE SHOULDERS OF YOUR BROTHERS

HOW DARE YOU SHINE DIM
YOUR SILENCE IS SIN
I’M CALLING EVERY SISTER MOTHER DAUGHTER

And yes there is so much rage burning right now. But the fire that has been sparked in me is not one of victimhood, but one of POWER.

The power of women all women as one.
The power of our voice ringing loud and clear and true.

That’s how I felt with these women.
In their arms by candlelight in Ireland.

I felt the power of women as ONE.

We are all her.

So I listened to this audio this morning, and of course I hear all the bum notes and the background noise and all the ways that it’s imperfect and bad quality and there’s no way I could put this out....

But then I think about the feeling in the room that evening.

Me not putting this out would be telling any of those women that they do not have a voice.

But if you have a heart, you have a voice.
And my GOD, it needs to be heard.

Your heart needs to be heard.

HOW DARE YOU SHINE DIM
YOUR SILENCE IS SIN
I’M CALLING EVERY SISTER MOTHER DAUGHTER

What I wouldn’t give to be in that room with all these women right now.

Singing with all of our hearts as one.

Infinite thank yous to @canneuhandleit for bringing us all together.

And to the hearts of all these sisters i love you i love you i love you

Let’s do this again yeah?

Another special week in Dromgarriff; marking the autumn equinox, celebrating 2 birthdays and a glorious full moon.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner for 20 retreat guests..

Highlights were:

The team 😍🥹😍 first and foremost- Nadine, Bethany and Gareth … 3 very good eggs 🥚 🥚 🥚 Nadine and Beth make being in a kitchen for 14h a day enjoyable. A lot of laughing, a few tears, two small cuts and some very delicious intuitive cooking!! Amazing. Gareth is just an everyday hero in an apron. ♥️

Doubling down into full on autumn mode: soups, rice pudding with pear and blackberries, casseroles, porridge, pumpkin. Yummmmmmm. Bring on cosy szn. 🍂🧡🍂

Mushroom foraging and identifying ~ I cooked up the chanterelles we collected on Friday at home last night, after a splendid nap, in butter and sprinkled with leftover gremolata 🤌🏼 so perfect if I might say so myself! Chanterelles will forever remind me of my family as they pop up in profusion where we’re from. Look out for these gorgeous yellow beauties and get them while you can. ✨✨✨

June 2026. This is the second retreat I’ve organized in Ireland and it won’t be the last😮‍💨 “Retreat” isn’t the right word either because the word would indicate that we fall back…but really we immersed, learned, sat with, sang, listened, foraged, cried, prayed, painted, LAUGHED! We nestled into the countryside near the beautiful seaside town of Bantry. We foraged with (the best) local herbalists along the sea, learned and sang traditional songs in the Irish language, shared stories of our precious ancestors that had or chose to leave. We found pieces of them…and in doing so, experienced more of ourselves and the culture from which we came, the language that lives in our veins, reclaiming parts of ourselves and our past. We sung our songs to the land as an offering, and put our own home soil into the Ireland soil as a way to weave our inner connectedness. We spent time with local Irish musicians and storytellers. Deep bow to the wise @lydia.ie for joining me in facilitating our opening evening ceremony. To chef Hannah and Bethany for their one of a kind sister kitchen Witchery. And Karen Minihan, @jen.doran.herbalist , @samyelyel , and @caitniriainmusic for being such beautiful and wise companions and masters of your craft for us to witness on this trip. And of course, to Mary Mclaughlin who has been my dear mentor and teacher of these beloved traditional Irish songs. I am so honored to be a lifelong student of traditional Irish music, I feel my ancestors Irish eyes smiling at the return of this music to their bloodline. If this tickles your fancy, there are two ways to connect in this way soon. There are still spaces available in my Oct 2026 Irish singing workshop at Kripalu in Massachusetts from Oct 25-28th. OR you can stay tuned through the link in my bio for upcoming irish singing online classes and retreats. Additionally I have one more 1:1 space for a client ready to step into their vocal odyssey.

With deep reverence and gratitude to the souls who gathered with me in Ireland to make the week such a deep and raw journey. This trip will live in us all forever.

The paradox of many + no words yet. To encapsulate what was this life altering stirring stoking time. Guided by @canneuhandleit - and blessed by all who facilitated and participated.

What I can say in this right now moment and in this right now box is - I knew all of these big rocks. These stones - in me - are home. As are the unforgettable slew of humans I had a family sleepover with for 4 nights on a farm.

And if there IS a word that encapsulates any of this the most just yet, it is…

REUNION. Bookmarking that.

Love love love love you all.

Thank you for sharing your phones and your eyes that saw thru the lens holes to capture these feelings and moments. (@valamatosto / @mic.hamakawa )
