A few shop lessons:

+ you need need need to travel to do your buys. I got so overwhelmed with clinic life and covid made buying online so convenient it was easy to convince myself we didn’t need to go places // travel to book collections. We changed that last season and have been religious about seeing things in person this year and our buys are getting better and better ⚡️
+ you need to be present. Sometimes (especially the last few years) I have heavily relied on my team. Often not really having a handle on what’s working and not working. It’s been so much fun to spend time in the shop again and be with my girls! They need to see that you care and that you appreciate them. And I really really do 💫
+ sometimes ‘business Kylee’ comes in a bit hot. When you invest so much time and money into something the seriousness I have can be hard to handle. 😵‍💫 Lord help me and thank god everyone just rolls their eyes at me most of the time.
+ it’s retail. It’s fun, creative, social and I love it. But we aren’t saving lives and there is no room for ego, competitiveness, or bad attitudes. Let’s just have a little laugh how’s about :)

Spending a month exploring Italy with my beautiful wife ✔️❤️

I just came off filming an amazing new season of @amazingracecda with the best crew anyone could ask for - and after a quick catnap at home, and a visit with some friends and family, @bethanygillatt and I embarked on our dream honeymoon to Italia!

We are currently living the highlife in a beautiful home in Nocelle, up the mountain from Positano - and explored Rome before that. Up next we head to a small lake northeast of Rome, with Umbria and Tuscany to follow.

I’ve taken a ton of photos that I’m excited to share, but I find myself eating the pasta and drinking the wine instead of editing and posting them here - oh well!
