I’m so lucky I got to spend my 50th show seeing my favorite little ice queen @bethanymayperry ! 🩵❄️
Literally so iconic how she portraits this role! Even though Volta is one of my least favorite characters in the show- I absolutely love Bethany’s version of them!!! This girl is a way too talented wow. No matter if we’re talking about her absolute gorgeous makeup or her outstanding performances in SO many roles, she’s always an absolute icon. Even though I was a bit skeptical about that show being my 50th because many things went differently than planned, she was one of the main reasons I got to enjoy the show so much & I’ll be forever grateful for that! X
Thank you so much for everything you did to me that day beth (+ I’m so so thankful for the little interactions they are ADORABLE XXX) 🤍
Also sorry for the bad quality sometimes, my camera bugged completely and I couldn’t see ANYTHING through it- but honestly I’m lowkey proud about how it turned out anyway :))))

I first went to the @becktheatre over 30 years ago. It changed my life in so many ways. As a teenager, I spent so much time learning there, through @beckyouththeatre, Summer Project, Panto, work experience. And now, as a theatre director, every day I get to apply the skills I was lucky enough to learn there.
For the last 15 yrs, I’ve also been Chair of BYT. I’ve seen thousands of students pass through, arriving as shy young people, unsure of themselves; and leaving as well rounded, confident adults. Some go on to work in the arts - onstage, backstage, in theatre management, casting directors, wardrobe, stunt directors. Others forge careers in medicine, law, education, public services. What unites all of these are the vital life skills they learn at the Beck: the importance of teamwork, communication, ability to find solutions, being able to hold a room.
This doesn’t even begin to cover the friendships made - with each other, across generations and decades.
The Beck is so much more than just a building. It is a lifeline for so many, a safe space, a place to grow and learn - and the thought that it may disappear is heartbreaking. But our @backthebeck campaign is determined to not let this happen. Together we have been bringing the community together & it is heartwarming to see so many facets united in its love for the Beck.
The fight is only just beginning. 🎭🩵
