On October 8, 2026, we evacuated due to hurricane Isaias. And when we evacuated to Birmingham we brought all our belongings on a moving truck and moved into our new home. 🥹

We were supposed to move on Friday, October 9th, but nothing like a category 3 hurricane headed right for you and a mandatory evacuation to add a whole new level of stress to moving! 🥵
Thankfully we were able to call and change the day for our u-haul rental so we could move on Thursday. As we loaded the u-haul, we realized it wasn't going to all fit and we'd have to make 2 trips. Then, we heard about the mandatory evacuation and became frantic. We rushed around trying to load as much as we could knowing we needed to leave as soon as possible with all the evacuation traffic. A drive that usually takes us 4 hours took us 7 hours, but we finally made it to our new home in Birmingham!

We watched news, reels and videos on social media from afar and prayed for our town and friends in Florida. I can't believe we lived in Florida for 7.5 years and not once was there a direct hit hurricane.....until we were leaving. Literally. (Continued caption in comments 👇🏼

We celebrated 50 laps around the sun this week (again, real birthday was on 4th, but aligning it for some fam to get in… and celebrate my fav person.

… the sweet girl who loves so deeply, sees and hopes for the best in her people, and calls out the greatness in each of them…

So honored to walk with her through this life of ups and downs and things planned and things you never saw coming and all the other stuff.
