Weekend Journal | No. 1

Every journey has a beginning, and this was ours.

We planned this weekend around a @bethelbaseball series, but somewhere between learning the ins and outs of our Airstream, sharing breakfast in the galley, watching bison roam at Minneopa, and ending the day on a quiet farm, we realized something…

The destination wasn’t the whole story.

It was the slower mornings.
The unexpected stops.
The little victories (like finally figuring out the leveling system).
And the memories made along the way.

This first multi-night trip reminded us why we started Doodles & Detours in the first place—to make room for adventure before retirement arrives, one weekend at a time.

Here’s to Weekend Journal No. 1. Many more miles, memories, and detours ahead. 🚐🐾

In Minn this week with the @northside_dirtdevils (Cronquist) — took care of business with a run rule 10-0 win in game 1 of the tourney.

Caught a no hitter from @djsturgis31 (!!!). Way to go Drake!

Game 2 starts in a few minutes at the very cool Hargis Field, home of @bethelbaseball.
