POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Not everybody has to learn this the hard way.

You can take these lessons without walking through the fire I walked through.

I just didn’t get the easy version.

This is how I had to arrive at it.

Before I got married, I had to rebuild.

Here are five things I had to become in order to be the husband Beth deserves.

One. Extreme ownership.

I am responsible for a hundred percent of what happens in my life and my marriage.

If my family is off, it’s because I didn’t set the tone for the week.

Because I didn’t pray for them.

Because I didn’t follow through.

How my wife’s week goes is on me.

I’ll contend with anyone who thinks otherwise.

Two. Extreme accountability.

Men in my life with healthy marriages, who I let pull me up on things I don’t want to hear.

I bring them in on purpose, because they won’t let me drift from who I’m meant to be as a father, a husband, a business owner, a friend.

Three. My health.

Nobody is coming to save me.

I have to be fit and healthy for the people counting on me.

Four. My wealth.

Nobody is coming to save me here either.

I have to build a life where my family never has to fight for what they need.

I’ve got no issue with my wife making money, but our finances are on me.

Regardless of her situation, regardless of whether she works or not.

Five. You lead in the chase.

You choose your wife every single day, not when the mood strikes, not when it’s convenient.

It’s not about counting the reps.

It’s about sticking to the plan on the days you don’t feel like it.

The bar for husband has dropped.

We need men who’ll rise back up to it. Especially in the state of the world today.

Proverbs 27:17, iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

That’s what this is. Men calling each other up, not letting each other get away with less.
