Joy, satisfaction and relief. All rolled into one as we closed Come From Away yesterday @syracusestage

Just over a year ago - a YEAR ago - @arosefull reached out and asked if I’d be interested in auditioning for this production. 3 months, several self tapes, emails and one in person CB (where I sang to a creative team zoomed in via laptop on a snack table) later, I booked the show. I then officially entered my self inflicted Beverley Bass Boot Camp™️ for 2 months. Then I finally met the outstanding group of people who I’d be spending time moving chairs with. We did the run at @irtlive - took the summer off (where I got to enjoy some Diane time) - and now have finally completed this project with our run in Syracuse. I had more doubts and anxiety about this show and this role than I have had with any other. But we made it. We all made it! And the best part? Coming out on the other side with a whole new crew of friends that have bonded over Gander, Caturday, game night and soda cake - just to name a few.

I’m so appreciative of everyone onstage and off that made this production happen. Here’s hoping we all get the chance to make some theater together again someday. Or at least get to play running charades again.

Thank you, Syracuse Stage, for a chapter I’ll carry with me. I love this show, these people, and the story we got to tell together.

I hope Come From Away finds its way back to me someday. Until then, I will always do it for my people, my heritage, my family, and the little Queer, Arab, Muslim boys that continue to face adversity when all they want to do is shine and spread joy. There’s a whole lot to take with me and a whole lot more to look forward to.

A Doll Is A Necessity❤️🎲

Can’t begin to express my gratitude to @stevenglaudini @billburns_la_ny @larryraben and @elanmcmahan for the opportunity to be a part of this timeless classic! Getting to work with and learn from these class act creatives, cast & crew has been the biggest blessing!

Thank you @moonlightstage and all the sweet souls I encountered this summer for all the joy you brought into my life🫶🏻

another show, another blessing.

Guys and Dolls marks the end of my Moonlight summer. So sad to say a temporary goodbye to a LITERAL family. Being in three shows is evidence that the Lord is kind and saw fit to meet SOO MANY PEOPLE!! I am so grateful for every human I was able to encounter in this process and in EVERY process this summer. Definitely made some lifelong friends this somewhere.

I made my musical theater debut in Guys and Dolls with @moonlightstage this summer! 💋🎲🚬💃🏼🎰

It’s hard to put into words what this experience has meant to me. I am so grateful to the entire cast and crew for creating such a welcoming, supportive, and encouraging environment. To say I’m lucky doesn’t even begin to cover it. I feel so incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to experience this with such amazing people. ❤️

I want to say a big thank you to @larryraben @billburns_la_ny and @stevenglaudini for this opportunity. Working with you all was an honor!

This weekend I closed my first ever musical!! Guys and Dolls will forever have a special place in my heart 🎰🌙🌽⛲️🪇🚢

Feeling so lucky to have the most precious friends who came to watch and plenty of new ones made these past two months!! Thank you @billburns_la_ny @larryraben & @stevenglaudini for welcoming me into the @moonlightstage family!! And a huge thanks to @stevenesofia for introducing me to the Crapshooter world a few years ago — I couldn’t do it without you!!

Guys & Dolls has come to a close. I love this musical. It’s one of my top 5 favorites of all time. Getting to be in it was a dream. The entire cast was amazing. The production was perfect. And our dressing room was a blast. Thanks for having me as always @moonlightstage!
