“And it’s gone to shit without you
It was shit before, but at least I had you
No, there ain’t nothing to report
But I hope you’re bored and headed north”

In the deepest sorrows, joy still finds a way in. Had some help from friends along the way. Second half of August, be kinder to me.

Members of Team Semper Fi hit the trails at @killingtonmtn for two full days of downhill mountain biking.

Made up of more than 3,600 service members who qualify for Semper Fi Fund assistance, Team Semper Fi is at the heart of the Fund’s Sports Program and extends the assistance provided to post-9/11 combat-wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.

It’s an honor to host Team Semper Fi and hundreds of Veterans throughout the year as part of our Veteran Ventures program.

Great coaching creates opportunities.

At @vermontadaptive , mountain biking is more than a sport. It’s a way to build confidence, create community, and make the outdoors more accessible for riders of all abilities.

Today, we’re proud to spotlight three members of their incredible coaching team: Felicia Fowler, Betsy Hoffmeister, and Jeff Alexander.

Each brings a unique perspective to adaptive mountain bike instruction, but they all share the same commitment to helping riders discover what’s possible on the trail.

Organizations like Vermont Adaptive remind us that great coaching isn’t just about teaching skills.

It’s about creating experiences that empower people, build confidence, and make our sport more welcoming for everyone.

We’re proud to have Vermont Adaptive and its coaches as part of the BICP community.
