Because this has been the most gratifying & magical experience for me! To be on set once again, has been nothing short of a miracle! To be standing there this soon, was not only surreal & overwhelming, it was also truly humbling! The power above kept me intact to continue on my path, to hopefully make a difference - am in gratitude & reverence 🙏 🧿 This short film is more than a film for me - it is my belief in the power that surrounds us! ‘Weight of Light’ - A journey that began in 2020, across Estonia & India, between intense, varied & multiple zoom calls finally culminated, end of March 2022! My gorgeous Indian team members (cast & crew) that converged to tell this ‘par excellence’ story of empowerment have been my absolute pride & I am thankful to them to have joined in! Each & every one of them believed in my word & hopped on! Thank you for that! Some of you knew me & some of you didn’t, but yet you came along! Thank you!! The 2 wonderful ladies from across 7 seas, you amaze me! You flew right when your part of Europe was raging under war! WE DID IT!

The shooting period of short fiction WEIGHT OF LIGHT is over! Past three weeks I have been in Delhi shooting the short film script “Weight of Light”/“Pimeala” that we wrote together with @tusharprakashofficial two years ago. It is based on a true story told to us by @chitraiyer1 and produced by @evelinpnttl and @stellar_film and coproduced by @tanvegandhii and Emilie Dubois.

It was my first time shooting a fiction film in India. Despite dark times this film shines in my heart with a lot of light. It is really a blessing that we had the possibility to film here despite many challenges. In a film journey nothing happens alone, only together with co-travellers where everyone's effort is important and priceless. I see the director's task to be a captain-visionary who holds the course of the ship, but the film journey is only possible with the help of crewmates who stand next to you through rain and storm, frost and heat. And HEAT we have really experienced! 38-40 celsius under the burning sun of Delhi in smog, in dust. I have thankfully enjoyed every drop of sweat that we have shared together and am really grateful for the moments behind the monitor where I have felt, ah! it is all worth every sweat drop! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH ALL MY WONDERFUL CAST AND CREW!!!

There is a tradition in India that the first shot of the film is an image of Ganesh while offerings are made to it. Ganesh is known in Hinduism as a remover of obstacles and bringer of good luck and blessings. This tradition reminds me that ideas do not belong to us, they belong to the divine and we are blessed to receive them. In the end we are all going towards light and I just very much hope that all our efforts here will form into a film that can touch hearts and shine with the WEIGHT OF LIGHT.

Since we were new to this genre and format, we were very apprehensive about the whole process. We are thankful to @royalenfield and @aanoorp for sticking with us till the end, and grateful to everyone who was part of it. The love this documentary received really encouraged us to be better and to make more meaningful films.

Got an opportunity to expand my horizons and professional possibilities by supervising production at the sets of an exciting ad.

Yup! This is my second gig like this in the last few weeks all thanks to the confidence shown in me by @cmburman 👩‍🎤

In the visual world, creativity and results take precedence. There is usually no thought for sustainability unless it fits the content but that doesn't stop those who are concious in integrating sustainable measures where ever there is even a remote possibility (which is plenty, trust me)

Wish me luck and let me know if you need a line producer who also brings sustainability to your next A/V Film Set ✌️😊

Also, celebrated my birthday this time with an amazing crew who made it so special with their wishes and their work ethic 🌺
