As the winter sport season comes to a close, it’s been incredible to reflect on the success and growth of so many athletes this year.

There have been countless stories of hard work, resilience, and perseverance but here are a few standout highlights from my athletes.

Maddi Torpey – To see your dream come to life after years of dedication and hard work has been truly special. Grateful to have played a small role in your journey.

Erica Fowler – Came to Foundry determined to return to professional sport after being delisted and battling through injury. Your commitment to that goal has been inspiring. Welcome back to AFLW!

Eryn Stocker – A breakout year. Making the Maverick Reserves, reaching the final, and competing in a VNL final is a huge achievement.

Jess Tetley – From an early-season injury to performing at your best in a VNL final, a great example of perseverance paying off. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next season

Ben McDonnell – Back-to-back premierships. Outstanding consistency and leadership across the season.

Alexis Pilkadaris – U17 and U20 National Wrestling Champion. A dominant year for a rising star. Big things to come over the next few years!!

Bel Hindson – Overcame a quad strain to make it back in time for the National Uni Hockey Tournament. Resilience at its best.

Emma Werner – Oceania Masters Weight Throw record holder. A testament to the dedication you have put in over the years to your training. Very proud!
