POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

13 years ago, watching this father of the groom on TV, I learned the Bible could teach you how to be a better parent. I had no idea there were practical things in that huge book of condemnation, gruesome murders, and stiff rules - until I sat in that room and this man’s words began to unravel everything I thought I knew about “The Bible”.
I didn’t go back for a very long time. Probably because I was busy with other things… Life, college, my new teaching career, planning my wedding… At my final dress fitting everything changed.
Barb, the person doing my alterations, asked if she could pray with me. I told her no, and she literally laughed in my face - with the biggest smile - and told me The Holy Spirit had other plans for me. She forced me to pray. I (literally) thought she was insane.
But when she prayed, my body responded. Warmth - golden in color - started in my feet, and filled my legs, up through my torso, down my arms, all the way to the top of my head. I opened my eyes and saw colors I hadn’t noticed before. Heard birds I didn’t know were there.
I thought she’d drugged me. I started crying and told her I needed to leave.
And that right there began an unnatural series of events in my life that I couldn’t explain away. Most notably, a completely wild bird climbed onto my finger one day and responded to the English words coming out of my human mouth — as if it spoke my language.
9 years ago I went back to that church, and grew in my faith under this man’s discipleship.
8 years ago I began growing under his church’s leadership.
And today I owe everything to God through his beautiful and wonderful people at the church this man started.
We’ve had the privilege of photographing two of Kevin and Marcia’s kids’ weddings, and we’ve had a blast getting to know their family.
Just dropping by to share gratitude, and encourage you to reach out - if you’ve ever been curious about God, or want to find a church where you feel welcome - or just wrestle with faith, I don’t have all the answers but I bet ya I can relate.

Victoria & Kyle are MARRIED!! 🤍

What a day. (12 hours of wedding coverage, y’all!! We didn’t crawl into bed until 3 a.m., and it’s been a while since we’ve been out that late after a wedding. 😂😴)

Some weddings just feel extra special. We got to celebrate with an incredible group of people, photograph at a venue that’s been on our bucket list for years, and spend the day with one of our favorite friend groups.

Huge thank you to Hope (one of our sweet brides!) for continuing to trust us with her friends. It never gets old seeing her rowdy crew at weddings. 🥹

Congratulations, Victoria & Kyle!! We can’t wait for your Gallery Reveal Party. See you after your honeymoon! ✨

Bing Crosby’s Classic Christmas Cocktail Party came back for the 16th Annual celebration of the season and this year Santa came to roast guests and marshmallows. Thank you @betterboothatl for these amazing memories!

I didn’t set out to start a business.
I just had this curiosity inside me about pausing time. Freezing moments…
Because growing up, I didn’t have a whole lot of control over the moments that happened around me.

I came from a childhood full of love and hardship —
✨ A beautiful, funny, kind mom who also struggled deeply.
🏠 Not much money, and sometimes not even a place to live.
But always love. Always laughter. Always her.

Fast-forward: somehow this scrappy little heart turned a curiosity into a passion and a passion into a business.
Not because I had a strategy… but because I fell in love with the idea of helping people pause beautiful moments.
To hold onto what matters.
To keep what’s good.

Now my husband and I get to do this together (still shocked by that part) with our most incredible team… To be honest, some days I feel like we’re crushing it, and other days I wonder if I belong in the room.
But we’re here. And y’all… I’m just really, really grateful. 🥹

Thank you for letting us do this. Thank you for trusting us with your memories that are the very very start of your marriage.
This job is magic.

Carry on. ❤️

Weddings aren’t just full of feelings; they’re also full of logistics.
And we’re built for both.

Your film should be more than slow-mo snippets and curated ring shots.
Your photo/video crew should know how to capture your emotion.

✨ From the moment you book
We’re not strangers showing up with cameras. We’re planning sessions with you, chatting through your vision, flipping through album samples, and helping you design a day that’s actually fun.

🧠 Stress-free & systemized
Before your day, we’re in touch with your planner, your vendor team, and your timeline. On the day-of? Our four-person team (photo, video, and a much-needed assistant) keeps things on track so you can stay present and enjoy it.

🎥 Films with feeling; not fluff
No overloaded cheesy slow-mo. No fake cinematic edits. Just rich, emotional storytelling that timelessly reflects your day exactly how it felt.

📸 Coverage that doesn’t miss a beat
We’re not in the corner with a monopod; we’re on the dance floor, cameras rolling. We capture it all: the vows, the whispers, the wild moments. And yes, we’ve got backup gear (even if one of us ends up in a river. Ask me how I know).

⚡️ Fast sneak peeks & gallery reveals
You’ll get previews before the night’s over, and a few weeks later, we’ll host your Gallery Reveal Party with food, drinks, and your wedding film on the big screen in our home office. Then we’ll design your album on-the-spot, and order it on the same night.
Your film, digital photos, and tangible album will probably be in your hands within 8 weeks.

💛 We’re in this for the long haul
After your wedding, we become your people… birthdays, babies, businesses, and everything in between.

We do this because we believe in marriage.
Strong marriages build strong families.
Strong families build thriving communities.

Your wedding isn’t just a One-Day Clebration.
It’s a beginning.
And it deserves a team who understands what you want.

😌drop by our booth at the @atlantaweddingextravaganza show on August 17 to meet us in person!

Are you an OG follower of our account, or are you just tuning in? Either way, we’re guessing you already know we photograph (and video!) weddings in a timeless style that always feels authentic, emotional, and full of joy.⁣
⁣
What you might NOT know is that we also Bring The Party with our epic Photo Booths by @BetterBoothATL! We’re talkin’ custom print templates, pro lighting, instant downloads for your guests, and the kind of fun that gets everyone -- yes, even your shy mom -- out of their seat.⁣
⁣
What else do you want to know about the booths, how they work, or how to add one to your big day? Ask us anything! We love talking about these!!

GYP's Winter Off The Clock was an absolute chill time! Nothing like a fire pit, hot chocolate, and a little friendly axe throwing to warm up a winter night! 🔥❄️ A huge shoutout to our sponsors for helping us make this night possible and to everyone who came out! We loved seeing our young professionals connect and unwind.

Missed this one? Don’t worry—save the date for April 3rd to join GYP for another unforgettable evening at @slowpourbrewing!

How do you embrace new seasons? It used to be my nature to reflect on the past and linger there for a while, but (does it come with age?) I don't do that any more. As our family begins to embrace the new season, I find myself excited for all its new beginnings and wondering how it will all go. And what it will look like!! Hindsight is always interesting, but wouldn't it be cool if we could pick like, just ONE thing to see the future in?? In that spirit, I’m challenging myself to slow down and appreciate what’s in front of me. What about you?

Kara & Brandon: I am just *OVER THE MOON* with your gallery reveal and your beautiful album and your fabulous wedding and your amazing family! From start to finish, working with you two on your wedding and album goals has been a breeze and I couldn’t be happier with the results!! I am SO glad you and your friends enjoyed @BetterBoothATL — who knew such a small addition to the reception could be such a BIG hit?! (I mean, I totally did... but I’m a tad biased.) @Goinsvideography and I *loved* working hard to make your big day special, and it was super easy because you two rocked it!!
If you need me, I’ll be over here sitting on all the pins and needles waiting for your gorgeous album to arrive!
