Days 57 through 63; AKL ‘26

Peak week. The week where the training reaches its spearhead and the intensity reaches its pinnacle. Feels like hitting the field for that Thursday training session before game day on Saturday. Everything matters so much more this week. And we got it done.

That’s been the mantra of this whole block. Find a way.
Find a way to push through every obstacle in front of me and get it done. Nothing was shaking me this week. I had objectives to accomplish and I did just that. Now to taper through to the race and taper properly. I have nothing more to gain from here but a hell of a lot to lose if I lose my concentration. OTTN

Week recap

Ironman New Zealand ~ 21 weeks out
Auckland marathon ~ 3 weeks out

Peak week for Auckland marathon all wrapped up. Still a decent amount of cycling and swimming in there. Running feeling good some big sessions this week topped off with a 36km long run with 3x8 at mara pace. Can’t wait to hit that start line and see what we can do. Let’s hope a taper and carb load can work some magic. Had an awesome opportunity with @kyroperformance this week, stay tuned!
