Almost two and a half years working remotely as an integration guide with @BetterU, and I finally got to visit their HQ in person.

After road tripping it up from San Diego to Pacoima the day prior; I woke up at 6am on a Friday, got ready and went on a little commuting adventure. I took a bus, then the subway all the way to the heart of Hollywood. After a quick walking detour for a matcha latte, I made it to Better U HQ ready to work, and to finally meet the HQ team in person.

Being there in person after so long reminded that healing our mind and nervous system can be messy, hard, often painfully overwhelming; and yet, worthwhile doing.

Although not for everyone, psychedelic assisted psychotherapy and integration work can be a supportive path in that journey

Sitting with people through the hard parts, helping them make sense of what came up, and walking with them through the work that comes after is some of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done.

I really enjoyed my day there in my little corner office working with my patients, and am looking forward to coming back to visit BetterU HQ again soon.

If you’re looking for support with mental and emotional healing ,and transformation toward a better you, I wish I could tell you this is 100% right for you. I can’t. Everyone’s situation is too complex and unique for a promise like that. But I would encourage you to be as well informed as possible and to explore it as a possibility.

If you’re curious what this path could look like for you, give @betteru a follow and reach out to us so we can help you figure out if it’s the right fit for you.

Be the version of you that has always been there—just with more clarity, more understanding, and a deeper sense of peace. Not someone new. Not someone different. Just you, without the weight, the noise, and the overwhelm getting in the way.
So much of who we are can get buried under stress, expectations, past experiences, and the day-to-day struggle of just trying to keep going. But that doesn’t mean you’re lost—it just means you may need a little support finding your way back.
Do this for yourself. Not for anyone else’s approval. Not because you “should.” But because you deserve to feel better, think clearer, and actually enjoy your life again.

I’m partnering with @betterucare to share my journey

I’m from the generation where feelings weren’t talked about.
You were seen… but not heard.
We grew up learning to keep it in.
To push through.
To stay quiet.
And then we became adults carrying emotions we never learned how to process.
Trauma we never talked through.
Pain we buried so deep we almost forgot it was there.
Depression isn’t a joke.
Anxiety isn’t “just stress.”
PTSD isn’t something you laugh off.
Mental health is real—and it deserves to be front and center.
I look back now and realize just how bad mine got.
There were days I couldn’t even brush my own hair.
I stopped showing up—for friends, for family… for myself.
I went to the doctor in secret.
Tried the meds.
Tried to pretend I was okay.
But I wasn’t.
If you’re from my generation and you’ve been struggling in silence…
this is your sign.
It’s time to talk about it.
It’s time to get support.
It’s time to stop carrying it all alone.
Your journey might look different than mine—and that’s okay.
But there is another side to this.
And it starts with being honest. 💛

I recently started doing at home ketamine therapy
I’ve struggled with “busy brain syndrome” (which I’ve invented) for as long as I can remember. It feels like a hundred ping pong balls bouncing around in my head of all my different thoughts. Some are simple and harmless; “switch laundry over to dryer”, “appointment tomorrow at ten am”. Some are not and seem to stick around for months and years; “you are the biggest failure there ever was”, “your existence causes pain to everyone around you”. They are more often mean than not and they just bounce around in my brain constantly, never shutting up. I’ve found meditation and mindfulness helps some but accepted I’m stuck with these ping pong balls forever.
One night after my ketamine treatment I stumbled out of my bedroom (ketamine can make you dizzy and unstable) to the fridge, opened the door, and was shocked. There was half a Gatorade bottle in the fridge from the night before, and my “there’s half a Gatorade in the fridge” ping pong was gone and I had completely forgotten about it (which is really unusual for me).
This realization helped me really notice for the first time after a month-ish of the K treatments that I was having progress. I sat on the couch and drank the rest of my Gatorade, which will probably be the best half-Gatorade of my life.
