Are you in need of a hot and spicy The Amazing Race-inspired fake-dating romance? Then this is the book for you! I read WINGING IT WITH YOU by @booksovrbros last fall leading up to my in-person cousin book club meeting in Milwaukee and totally forgot to post about it on my feed…instead of a review (tldr: it’s lovely and you should read it!), this is more of an homage to the incredible weekend where we gave this delightful book its own Flat Stanley adventure.

Basically, my long-distance bookish cousins and I realized we were going to be the same place for a rare long weekend. We’re already in a virtual book club together, so we thought it would be fun to plan an extra in-person book club meeting for WINGING IT WITH YOU during our trip.

The lovers in this book meet at an airport Chili’s, so when I realized Milwaukee’s airport HAD a Chili’s, I knew what I needed to do: stage a photo shoot with my copy of the book AT the airport Chili’s.

The only problem? Milwaukee’s airport is separated into two terminals that are NOT connected past their respective TSA checkpoints, and of COURSE I was flying in and out of the Chili’s-less side. Luckily, one of my cousins WAS flying into the Chili’s side of the airport and was able to get the shot. Everyone say “Thank you, @reeds_reading_reviews!”

Then, when @betweenpaigesofabook picked us up from the airport and asked where we wanted to grab lunch and chat about the book, there was only one correct answer: Chili’s. Yapping about a book we all adored over cheese sticks was the perfect way to kick off our bookish cousins weekend trip!
‌
After almost missing the opportunity for the airport Chili’s photoshoot, it became a little bit of an inside joke that we were going to take as many out-and-about pictures of the book as we could. I’ve included the best of them in this post for your viewing pleasure.

❓ QOTD: Have you ever planned your TBR around the place you’re traveling to? Or have you planned any bookish trips with friends or family? Tell me about either in the comments!

A quick trip to my hometown for a wedding means I also finally had a chance to visit @fablehollowbookshoppe with my bookish cousins! This is such a cute bookshop if you’re ever in Knoxville. I was super impressed with their selection of books and book-adjacent items, and the coffee in the shop was fantastic as well. I am excited to have another fun stop to add to my itinerary whenever I visit home now!

I finally had a chance to visit @bnmountpleasant to spend a gift card I got over the holidays! I have THE ROOMMATE on my kindle and I loved it when I read it two years ago, so I’m excited to finally add a paperback copy to my shelves. I also picked up ALL DRESSED UP off my TBR list as a little treat because it’s been on my list for a while. Have you read either of these books? What did you think? #theroommate #rosiedanan #alldressedup #jillygagnon
